You can estimate it roughly by looking at the number of registered users at the major bookmarking sites.

Total URLs bookmarked per day = 120K * 100 / (% Market share of del.icio.us)

Social bookmarking is a way of getting every page on your site listed on a site.

It's popular amongst users because many believe that continous use of these services will increase their likelyhood of getting laid - unfortunately, the jury is still out about whether this is true or not.

The last in-depth research I remember reading discovered that a total of 73.4 people shared their bookmarks.

If you couldn't tell, I was being saracastic.

My actual suggestion to you is to grow a pair of balls and either read or search before making such fucking pointless posts.

This is why its popular among user..especially those people in Online Marketing business.
