So I just got a paypal email saying Squidoo has just paid me...

Drum roll....





$23.53

Anyone else making money off Squidoo?
Its also nice to be able to get a backlink to your relevant pages from a PR7

btw, i have a friend who makes some money with squidoo, more than you but still not enough

Its actually more than I thought I'd ever make with it... :)
 
The real money makers are those are exploited it's authority to gain top stops in the serps.

Google smacked it down for not preventing spam well enough. It does well now, but not like back awhile ago. Same for topix.net I suspect.
rollyo would've been the same(actually ranked better than squidoo ever did) but they disabled HTML on profile pages.
 
The wife started with Hubpages. I curbed that pretty quickly and got her setup with a blog. I think she's made $2.00 from hubpages.

waste o time. unless you're using it to build links.

Agreed.

Same goes with pretty much any of the social sites - use them for links and a little bit of traffic (well a shitload if you can), but don't rely on them for making money.
 
I thought Hubpages was nofollow now. You can pick up a lot of high PR links on Squidoo doing search commands with its footprints like site:squidoo.com "add to this list" keyword. Not sure how much those links are worth though, and they might slide off the page. I have a few high PR squidoo lenses. I've thought about selling links off of those, but it's hard to know if they have that much value.

I remember someone, (probably someone here) made a squidoo lense that was ranking in the top ten on google for online dating for a long time. Then squidoo got its ass handed to it, and Jason Calacanis saw an opening to make a crappier site and have it rank for phrases that Squidoo used to rank for.
 
I used to make a little (2-300/mo) promoting CB products with Squidoo before it got slapped.

Made maybe $10 from Squidoo itself through Adsense.
 
It takes 10 minutes to put up a squidoo page. (linking off to your sites and having your affiliate links)
It takes 10 minutes to build links to it.

It takes zero time to collect the commissions.

We do very well for our time on squiddo -- nice conversions, nice traffic, and about 80 a month from squidoo :)

It's not about the money squidoo sends you - it's about the links and sales to your affiliate links.

I really really need to assemble an indian team soon.
 
The Link buster Digerati tool creates a list which is then fed to Indians to make squidoo lenses.
