Hey

I had got my hands on my first check from clickbank for $480. I was over the moon... until I looked at my check and realised I had filled out my first name wrong and the bank will not accept the check.

Ok - no panic I thought. I emailed CB and they told me I could send the check back and they would issue a new one. Its been three weeks now and complete silence from CB.

I have emailed them 4 or 5 times now with no response.

Its not a huge amount but it was my first real payment from my efforts so far so I am really dissappointed.

I made a photocopy of the check just in case..

Any advice guys? This happen to anyone else?

Cheers

Dave

They're not going to screw you.. best bet is to just call them. 3 weeks isn't that long for something like that.

I live in the UK so I guess Im just being an impatient little fucker. Do they even have a contact number - all I can find is a fax no...

Have you tried going back to the bank and to a different teller who might not notice the misspelling?

It's too late now, but that's what I would have done. If that happens again just take it into a walmart (assuming they have those in the UK) and cash it, then take the cash over to the bank.

Assuming you have your last name right, I would just lie and say the misspelling is a nick name.

My name on my bank account is Matthew, but most of my checks are written to Matt, and sometimes clients misspell my name as Mat or Math on the checks. Never had a problem...

I don't think clickbank will screw you for a small amount like that. You should wait or look around for contact number details etc.

ohh nooosss interwebz monies down the drain.

But seriously I wouldn't be concerned they wil eventually get around to it. They really didn't screw you. You screwed yourself by filling out your name wrong. The reissued check from a corporate point of view takes 4-6 weeks then add shipping to your destination.

Man ... calm down .... I received 2 checks with my first name spelled wrong from Sytropin (an Human Growth Hormone)

anyway

My name on the check was Daneil (and my name is .... yeah right ... you got it ... Daniel :yin-yang: )

Went to the bank .... no error for me ... just cashed that check :D

So ... calm down ... and light a joint :rasta:

I would but I've already posted the checks back - so now I cant cash them and to top it all they are not responding to any emails I send them now!

Just to top it all sent 126 clicks to a game tester job offer - not one fucking conversion...

God I love CB.. Bring back adwords for Run Your Car On Water ..hahaha!

I would stop sending them emails/calling them for a week or two. Think about it this way: you work at CB and this annoying fuck keeps calling about his missing check. Do you think you would respond to his emails when he keeps sending them and calling all the time?

Uh fuck yes. It does have to do with someones money, so they should have someone all over it. Could be Dick Booth up to their old shit. Maybe not.

However dragging your ass on someones money is NEVER good. Ever!

It may not be good, but it still happens. All the time, in fact. It takes a while for businesses to cancel the check, issue a new one, and ship it out. Calling/emailing over and over will only annoy the people there.

If I kept receiving calls/emails from someone about their check (when I've already said I would get it corrected) I would start to get pissed off and annoyed and begin to take my time.
