I'm talking about the Ultra Green Tea campaign through advaliant. I gave up on it last week...and when i checked competition today...seems like many other people did as well.

My conversion rate dropped to 1%...anyone else experience this? Did anyone else drop the campaign also?

My conversion % fell like a stone. I put most of my active campaigns on hold.

same here, can't figure out why. i am somewhat new to aff. marketing so do you know any reasons why conversion rates would drop so much so quickly?

is there still a market for this product? should i try other methods of traffic?

My guess is that the market is saturated. There are only so many people who want a 'free' green tea based diet system.

By the way, where are you seeing the contest stats?

Seems a little sketch that multiple people felt the immediate drop in conversions, unless something major happened in the media, I would do a little research and contact advaliant.

i dont know where the contest stats are.

couldn't agree with you more, i think something is shady. but how do you prove it?

I'm not 100% sure, but I have a feeling it's because the merchant put a nice big telephone number with no ref code right on the top of their landing page.

So, if someone you sent to the merchant page just decided to call the number on the LP instead of using the online form - you lost a sale.

i do not think that is the problem. sure, that could reduce sales by a few %...but not drop CR by a fraction pretty much over night.

Well I called that # at the top of their lander and they do not accept sales over the phone as of yet. I spoke to a guy who said they were planning to implement order taking over the phone in the near future but gave no date. I'm still new to ppc, but I feel I have a pretty good grasp of the overall concept and mine is just not converting. I kinda wonder if yahoo answers have affected it any, as there are a good amount of people on there that are claiming they got ripped off/overcharged/scammed...etc. Right now i''m solely on YSM, so i know my volume is also less.

good point (about yahoo answers). i just am still not sure what happened.

i spoke to my AM at advaliant, he said the guy who ran the green tea campaign had his last day today and someone else will be taking over. hopefully something better happens.

regardless, i can't see any one source affecting the entire market...but then again i could be wrong. did you ever have success with this?

Well this is my first campaign actually, so i'm probably not the best guy to ask. I don't have the proper budget to test the shit out of it, so i'm kinda just riding the wave...only i think there may be nothing but puddles left....i'm hoping this new guy/gal breathes some life into it.

seems scrubing man...so far 3 conversion difference between adwords tracking and advaliant..

my pattern, several convsion, next day 0 for 10 days..today sent around 200 clicks, 0 conversion..same traffic, same kws..shady..

I am about to give this shit..losing several hundred$....

stop the campaign IMMEDIATELY. I made $400 in 4 days...and then lost money since. i turned it off a few days ago.

i am not 100% sure...but i dont think scrubbing matters when it is CPS...a sale is a sale right?

Hey mberman84, I can't help but notice that you stole every aspect of my LP. Everything is exactly fucking the same, even down to the page elements that I removed from the original version that MyOwnDemon made for me.

Way to go, asshat.

EDIT: Yeah, I just confirmed it with MyOwnDemon. You didn't even change the ad copy. I'm fairly pissed off at the moment.

Yes, shit happens, and shit is definitely going to happen. Way to ruin your credibility.

Yes, I can verify. That is the LP I made for AlexB a while back and certainly did not resell it.

Mberman84, that is a shitty ass thing to do.

yea, well, you'll all live past this horrible experience hopefully.

if you notice that EVERY single LP is pretty much the same for that campaign...you might be even more angry. again, i apologize...ill be creating my own LP's from now on...gotta give a newb a break:)

You know, I just read the write-up you did on your campaign. Very interesting. I couldn't help but notice this part:

Creating the Landing Page
The next thing I did was create a landing page. I used similar graphics as other sites since it matched the advertiser’s page. One thing I did not want to do with this campaign was iframe the form onto my landing page. The landing page is important for “pre-selling” your visitors, which increases the conversion rate. I also included all of the normal components of a quality landing page: contact info, terms of service, privacy policy, about etc.

Why don't you tell the truth to your readers? How about telling them that you stole your landing page.
