I just started doing some seo work on an adult diaper site that sells, you guessed it, adult diapers.

I have been doing the basics: digg, press releases, forum sigs and posts, purchased link directory submissions and etc.

The company had to change their name after a trademark issue, so now i am back at square 1. I need some advice, as it seems that no matter what i do with this domain, it is taking forever to rank for "adult diapers".

I have been using redirects and we still have the old site up, which was dependonbriefs.com, but maybe I am doing it incorrectly? It's an oscommerce site, so there are alot of pages i keep catching that are not redirected. Can you share an example of how to do this better?

I thought getting ranked for adult diapers would be easy as well, but since i started there are alot of other sites doing the same thing. We are using adwords at the moment and not getting enough, if any, organic traffic.
 
This stuff is pretty saturated (no pun intended) I found that out when I was researching regular diapers. (for babies) How are you doing with the long tails? Also you may be targeting the wrong crowd. I noticed your previous url had "depends" in it and I believe that's for folks with bladder control problems? Where as the market ( I think) is directed towards the sexually..urm.. "adventuresome".
 
just a htaccess redirect at the moment.

turbolapp, this is for people with medical conditions, not the diaper fetish crowd. We do get alot of the adult diaper fetish customers, but we are a medical comapny.
 
I will look into the redirect a little more and fix that today.

saturated was funny!!! :)

Google crawls the site alot, but not in their directory yet. I will continue to plug away at it, but may need some new seo tactics to try.
