Me Need IPs

Try to control your rage at the newbieness of the following question:

Where can I get me some new IPs? I know of a company called Suavemente but beyond that, I'm lost. I'm not looking to be some big time mailer I just need my very own IPs for: my mail server and my own domain. I figure I'll need about 10. Is it going to cost a bizillion dollars?
 


You will basically be limited to your hosting providers for getting IPs. You can't just buy IPs from someone else like buying a php script and install them on your server. The Internet Dont Work That Way. And its not unreasonable to get 10 IPs with a dedicated server or VPS, for example SoftLayer is a well-known server provider and they let you easily request more IPs.

well ~... we are hosting ourselves since we are in a building that has a fiberoptic connection... we just need our own IPs

any ideas?
 
Yeah you can ask suave. They'll lease IP's to you then you can bind them to your local box if you want. Depending on uptime and stuff like that you may really consider hosting with a colocation service or just lease a box someone else maintains. Trying to handle stability issues internally is always goig nto divert your focus from doing what you need to do to make money. Spend the 30-40$ a month on a VPS or 100$ a month on a dedicated server and let someone else care about that. Then you focus on the improtant part, generating traffic.

I never want to be the guy that steps over dollars to pickup pennies.
