Geez, Give a guy some time to work.
I could not remotely get this to work in 5 minutes. Maybe if I had a quadcore machine and a T1 line. Still I was an hour screwing with it.
This is a clever technique that the OP has made a bit more convenient than doing it by hand. It is not a script. It is pasted-in HTML.
I applied the code to a Joomla site that has been live but not yet indexed by Google for the past 10 months. I basically put it together so CJ had a site to look at when I applied to them and then abandoned it.
The amount of strain the code added on the page load crashed my Firefox several times. IE was better but I still had problems. That is my situation and others probably won't experience it. The code is deleted afterward, so load times are only affected while you are doing the technique.
I did verify that the backlinks appeared immediately, however, a link:site search in Google this morning still gave no results. I am not sure how long that might take.
BUT, this site became indexed by Google in about 45 minutes after not being indexed in 10 months.
The link back to your site will be to your domain, not any anchor text. I also counted at least 200 other links in the list; many to unrelated sites, like mine. I'd say they're probably all spam.
I also notice the page where the link appears has a gray Pagerank bar, but the Google server probably has problems because this page is also grayed out.
Clever technique. You'll probably go, 'Doh', when you see it. I don't know the long term value of it and I personally think that the gain in links from one domain is a bit too quick. However it is only 60 with one application.
I only had time to get about 10 in the hour I messed with it.

The links are not spam it is a real backlinks and permanent indeed my domain raise from pr 2 to pr 4 after i am using the technique.
It will only take 5-10 max if you have familiar with it.
The code never crashed in any browser (proven) I've use it in firefox, IE , safari, and google chrome.
Google will not certainly update the backlinks immediately. it takes times.
Google is updating pr currently, so if you use this technique certainly your pr will pump up cause the backlinks come from pr 6,5, and 4

I didn't say the backlinks were spam. I am saying the technique is getting old and the links that appear in the list are spam links. Some are dating, poker, scratch n-sniffs, excema, acai, acne, racing odds, etc.
If someone wants to use this they should probably hurry before w3.xxxxxxhare.com figures it out and no-follows the links or takes them down. The links are burried, so I don't think they are very good for traffic, only for inbound link count, and of course indexing.

Emm... PR is calculated, re-evaluated and assigned nonstop. The toolbar shows old data which is being updated maybe 4 times a year, while the real (acutal/current) PR remains hidden, and is sometimes also manually obfuscated by G.
I wonder how you want to educate people about backlinks and rankings and the techniques to get there if you don't know this simple fact. You did mention you want to teach us above.
Not to mention that you can't change anything that happened in the past ("obtain great pr in this recent update").

Second, and this is to Jon. You really need to make it so that people have to read an introductory post on no ebooks, don't sell stupid products, be able to form decent sentences in english, etc. when they first sign up and then quiz them to make sure they read it. I mean you mods must waste so much time going through this day after day, and that would really lower the amount of times you would have to do it.
