Hi, I've been using (maybe abusing) Propeller for the last week. Today when I went to login, I found that I have been shut down. All of my articles have been removed (though my tags are still active). When I tried to direct link to an article, I rec'd this message:

Article Removed

This article has been removed from our system for violating our Terms of Use.

I was using Propeller to target several different websites related to roofing and tagging them with roofing keywords. It was a commercial website, but I've seen lots of commercial interests promoted on Propeller.

Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for using Propeller w/o getting terminated?

Thanks.

Thanks Lickity Split - Do you know if they will ban the URL's from getting linked to? I do have a new user name and don't want to get it kicked to by linking to the same stuff. Any idea?

well, here is basically how I use my propeller accounts. Say I have a site for solar power (example) I make a small list of keywords that I want to get the site ranking for. So lets says I want to use these keywords

solar panels
solar power
solar energy
solar lights

First off I create a new propeller account for every one of those keywords when the time comes. So first I would create an account with propeller, digg, wordpress.com, scribd etc. All with the username being the keyword Im targetting. So the first round I would use Solar-Panels for my username. Then I would drop a link to the solar site to propeller, digg and wordpress and scribd and a few others.

For the next keyword, I would do the same, create a new propeller account, digg etc using that keyword as the user name and sub domain when setting up wordpress.com. This time around though, I link to the sites I created in the first round. That way they get some juice but are not linking to the exact same thing excessively.

I go through the whole process for each keyword and mixx it up. So, to answer you question, I only use propeller to drop one or two links and then move on. There are lots of high page rank sites out there you can drop some links on. You can also get your site social bookmarked either through a service, like red_virus here at wickedfire or you can make your own list and bookmark it yourself. So really there is no need to drop so many links on propeller that they ban you. There are a ton of steps in the way I roll things out, these are just the basics as they involve propeller. I mainly do ppc but in the last 2 months I have gotten more into ranking the sites in the se's as well and I learned almost all of what I do that works right here at WF!

Hope that helps...

oh and I social bookmark everything!

Now go find the introduction thread and introduce yourself before you start getting flamed!

That was a very good explanation I am sure with the technique mentioned above the propeller account won't get banned
