lol, yea i agree.. blue links work the best..
People coming to your site via some crappy search engine from a 3rd tier PPC provider don't know shit about the internet but one thing they do know is that blue underlined text is supposed to be a link
 
I make every single arbitrage site the exact same way.. Simple as all hell white background with black text and blue links
 
That is what I'm doing too. I use my keyword as an H1 for my logo, then I do it again for the title to my paragraph of bullshit information.

While I'm not anywhere near the greatest website designer around, making horribly ugly pages goes against every fiber of my being... but if that works, hey, I'll give it a shot.

Actually, I've been in the blackhat forums long enough to learn that ugly sites do convert better. The visitors are like: "Oh God, that is ugly! I'm getting out of here by clicking that bright and obvious blue ad link!"
 
Haha, wow. Punishing your visitors in order to get them to click, just so they can get the hell out... haha. I'm thinking neon pink background, yellow letters, and maybe 20 or so animated gifs. That should do the trick :smokin:

Meh, I know what you guys are saying - and it makes perfect sense. No point in agonizing over what looks good when you want the user just to click and get off your page anyway.

Actually that page will probably get more people to just close the browser window. Also, they will probably be banned from google soon lol
