How well does blogger do with generating traffic? and how much do you think someone can make?
I've just started 2 blogs and I'm playing around with them. I've seen some good blogs out there that look like they're doing great..

Also, is it true you have to post very often to get on the search engines?

I currently have title tags/removed navbar/I'm using the ALT tag with pictures/and I have anchor links.

I'm doing a post a day, what do you think about this?

you don't need to post every single day. and i think that if you're still doing a post a day or even a week a year later, you'll have done more than most people.

"This article has everything you need to know. No need to thank me.

Making Money Online With Blogspot - The Quick Guide To Making Them Dollas"

lol ouch, I hate you now.

"you don't need to post every single day. and i think that if you're still doing a post a day or even a week a year later, you'll have done more than most people."

I've been posting every day, It only takes me like 10 minutes tops. How many posts would you say till I start showing up on a search engine? I can type exact quotes of my blog and they dont show

Christopher, perhaps this would have been better in the newbie section? But as a fellow newb myself I'll impart some kind words to you without any swinging penises (or is it penii, I can never remember).

1. Posting every day is good, writing good content is one of the first things to learn.

2. "how many posts til you turn up in the SERPs" - well that all depends on what you're targeting as well as how much promotion your doing. How many links do you have etc?

3. Blogger - no. Get a domain, get some hosting, wordpress ftw.

4. Read this: How to create your first online asset

It's basically what you're trying to do without the stupid things that you're doing right now.

No, you wouldn't need to post everyday to get on the search engines. A single post would be sufficient enough to get you indexed.

Before you start blogging, make sure that you're actually blogging about topics that trigger your interest and knowledge. Don't blog about things that you have no idea about. Before you know it, you'll drop the blog from the lack of ideas if you do so.

Another thing, blogging requires persistence and patience. Don't expect to make decent money for at least the next 6 months. And do not, gang bang your blog with advertisements at the moment. There is actually no point; most you'd make is a quarter a day. Instead, you should first focus on building loyal readers, and then in several months you can steadily bring out the advertisements.

You might be able to make cash, but why would you use blogspot?

Spring the $4 and get yourself your own domain. Just post whenever you feel like but regularly enough

I think blogspot is quite highely regarded by google. I did a simple blog with no modification and my keyphrase as title and one post.

A few days later it ranked number three for the phrase. Not a very competetive one but still.

I would not recommend using blogspot for your money making blogs. It is fine for your family vacation pics or something, but when you start making money it can raise eyebrows, and if you do anything that makes blogspot feel like you violated their terms & conditions, then you get deleted, and no more blog income for you.

Wordpress is absolutely the way to go, but download it from wordpress.org and host it on your own domain, don't use the online one at wordpress.com. There are tons of plugins and themes that you can customize your blog with for wordpress.

Also, everytime you make a post (3 times a week should be fine), make sure you go to Pingoat and Pingomatic and submit your post there. They will ping all the major directories for you and help you get indexed faster.

yea , you can make good cash from blogger if you have the time to promote it.... Anyway there are succesful people using blogger personally i like this blog it's a blogspot kind of blog but content is important! and promoting once again. I tried using blogger before and i regret it. Honestly most of succesful internet people started 2006-2007 maybe even earlier. Now the competition is just to hard to handle. A good example i John Cow blog That blog started early and i doing good . that factor effects blogger blogs. But people normally use blogger blogs as autoblogs.

^ blogger blogs and a bloggity blog blog ftw!

Blogs are the biggest time wasters if you're looking to make money. And yes I know I have one but I don't even monetize it because it's simply there to share my thoughts and I enjoy writing.

Re: content - what matters is the quality of the content. If the keywords are there. If the density is just right. There's no point of placing content everyday when the article doesn't have value anyway.

bullshit. It just has to be unique. Search engines are shit useless at detecting 'quality'.

Throw up zillions of autoblogs, all posting every 1 to 3 days, and use em to hike up pr to your money sites.

let us know when you graduate from bloggerhigh
