CJ Account Manager?

You don't really get an AM unless you're in their "CJ Performer" program (10k per month). Just need to use the help center and open a ticket .

Yup, you won't get an account manager unless you're making $10k/month, though I basically got an account rep of sorts when I was only at about $8k/month.

Ok cool,

How do they deal with issues, say the advertiser doesn't like your traffic or any other BS, when you don't have an account rep do they ever fuck with your shit and tell you their not paying etc..

I've only had a few reversals and they were returns so it hasn't been an issue. I'm not rerally sure how they would handle that. I'm guessing the merchant would extend the locking period and eventually reverse the commissions. You can see that in the commission detail report and there is usually a reason given there.

From there I guess your options would be to open a ticket with CJ through the help center or contact the merchant directly. Each individual program has a program Manager. Their email is on the merchant detail page.

Well, the advertisers on CJ operates through sales, so if your traffic buys products, then there will be no prob...if they don't buy, it doesn't affect the advertiser any because you don't get paid a commission if there is no sale, so its no loss to them. At least that's my interpretation of it.

Yeah, but they have offers that are not based on sales too. Free signups, etc

Then don't send garbage traffic.

Regardless, Your only options have been posted already. Contact then through help or contact the program manager directly. Those are your only options until you're doing $10K + /month.

Let me just say, even if you're doing over 10k a month, they're not exactly going out of their way to take care of you.

Well, they're not going out of their way to hurt me... Having the CJ Performer status helps with some situations, but other advertisers can be oblivious. However, even before I was making over $10k/month, I've had direct contact information of the head affiliate manager for the Yahoo affiliate program at CJ and have had a very good relationship with all of the Yahoo affiliate people at CJ. It's all about creating beneficial relationships.

Yeah, you're right. Being a CJ Performer definitely helps, but I think the quality of the assistance you're getting is entirely dependent on who you're preforming for. Much of your treatment depends on the advertiser's affiliate manager, some are good, some are bad, which is pretty much the same everywhere.

I think, my point was more about the fact that a lot of their affiliate managers are young and inexperienced (which is also common enough) and many of them have no idea how to handle a big producer. They need to match their more experienced managers up with their bigger producers. It seems fairly haphazard now.

This is my problem with CJ. You don't get the help you need until you start making some bank, and even then, they don't give close to good service. The new guys need the help too! I guess that's the downfall of working with a network of that size.

Nope, everything is still on the standard net 20ish payment terms.
Assuming the merchant doesn't extend. then it can be a month or more before you actually see the money.
I'm not a "Performer", yet, so maybe that doesn't apply to you.

If an advertiser extends transactions, then I have to wait just like everyone else. If they don't have a good reason for extending it (if it's not their policy based on returns, or they see issues with a few orders), I'd be on the phone bitching at someone, and sending emails to a few people.

I pissed some people at CJ Media off big time when an advertiser's private offer that was pitched to me was pulled without notice by the advertiser, and payment not processed for 2 months. It wasn't too much money, but it was the principle. My account manager definitely pulled for me, and assured me that the CJ Media rep was being out of line with her responses (she threatened never to give me private offers again, and told me not to contact her in the future...), and that things hadn't been handled properly. He didn't speed up payment (the advertise was a dick), but I've gotten other private offers and opportunities since.
