Google Content Network-Anyone Else Experiencing This?

I have some campaigns set up on the content network. I have them on scheduling. Google is sending tons of traffic at some point and then hardly any traffic at other points.

And its not liked their slapped, because they are getting traffic. Just sometimes is miniscule and others times its literally tons of traffic.

I tried setting them up under a new accounts to test them there and they take a couple of days before traffic starts to come in much at all.

It all seems really strange.

Scheduling seems to have an affect too. I might be getting tons of traffic and then if traffic is stopped because of scheduling it may not start up again for a while, sometimes even a day or so or more.

Is content network just screwed up at the moment?

Budget is huge. It is accelerated.

I even thought that maybe I had an influx of competition out bidding me. But when I raise my bids, I still get charged about the same and my average position is high.

Try seeing if there is a pattern to the bursts, like certain days at certain times, etc.
Check your site report to see if a handful of sites could be causing the bursts when their traffic peaks.

Here's another odd thing.

I just tried this on one of the campaigns. I turned on search and of course suddenly got a burst of clicks, but I also got a burst of content clicks.

I turned search off and content clicks stopped too.

I feel like I'm in the twightzone.

i tried setting up some new campaigns and got 0 content impressions.

All my traffic came back to my old campaigns last week, but things are still weird.

So try setting your search CPC to something very low, and leave your content CPC the same. Hopefully you'll keep getting the burst of clicks from content.

Yeh, similar thing there. Monday-Friday crazy traffic. And I know its the first of the years, but to go from 1.5 million impressions to 2k impressions has nothing to do with weekend traffic.

Yes, I'm giving that a try. But, still, even if it works, its strange as hell.

Not high. Like a 7, I think.

Yeh, thing is, there is NO WAY I'm being charged .05cents for these clicks. If that were the case, I'd run the campaigns for a month and retire with my 100000% ROI.

That's what scares me. I'm some kind of Google bizarro world.

Yea, it has to be a mistake. 7 QS is not even close enough to describe the affect it is having. But have the clicks been coming in already at 5 cent CPC?
