So I browse the domain auctions frequently and I came across a domain I couldn't pass up. It's a 15 letter .com with the words "make" and "money" in it, and was able to grab it for $10. So far, it's easily the best domain I have. I was thinking of developing a blog and doing some Organic SEO on it, but I'm curious for advice as to the best way to take this on.

When I googled "make money", there are over 230,000,000 results returned. Make Money Online returns 116,000,000. From what I have gathered on these boards, a newbie like me is best off trying to rank on keyword that return less that 500,000 results. So I ask, is this something that's best just to put on the back burner and work on when I can while I go after more newbie friendly niches, or is it possible for fresh meat to really take on such a saturated arena?

And I figured this would help grease the wheels:

Keyword research my friend .. that is a big ass niche and there are literally hundreds of keyword phrases that get > 1000 searches / month. Dig deep!

I have a similar site for myself, and my domain has word money and maker in it. I doing seo and outsourcing link building (whitehat)

Search for the phrase in Google Keyword Tool and check the traffic volume for Phrase match. Is it significant? If so, you have a head start.

Else, if it is MakeMoneyMyBlog.com or something like that, don't think the domain will help you much.
