Has anybody ever created a sales page using a sub-domain of an established site? I have an offer in mind to promote, and an established blog in a similar niche, and wondering if driving traffic to a sales page I could create would be a good idea.

I would do a subdirectory over a sub domain.
Keep in mind that if you are advertising the established site in adwords already, you can not bid on the same keywords with your sales page, only one set of ads will show.
also keep in mind if you get a porr QS, it could affect the main domain if you ever decide to advertise it...
