Hey,

I'm a UK citizen, but for various legitimate reasons, I am not resident in any country at the moment (been moving around a lot) and am investigating various offshore options. Ive registered a company in the Seychelles and am now looking to register a bank account.

Could any affiliate managers or network reps advise me on any restrictions they may have on where in the world they will wire payments (I try to avoid checks where possible)? Have any affiliates heard of any problems getting paid offshore (in this case outside of UK or USA). If any affiliates are using a bank outside of the USA & EU, I would also really appreciate any recommendations.

Thank you.
Tegan.

We don't have any issues with international bank wires... but I suppose all networks handle it differently. International wires are usually more expensive ($35 per wire usually), but that's the only big difference that I know of.

why don't you just keep a UK bank account going, get teh money sent there, and then wire it on yourself?

You cant think of any reason he does not want to do that? Maybe he is not really getting any of the benefits of his government so he does want to limit his tax exposure.

In other news Britain made it illegal to take a picture of any police officer, security agent or law enforcement personnel. A single offense can get you ten years in jail. So to take a picture of the Buckingham guards you are risking years in jail. Ya I would want to give them more money too.

Dude get a HSBC bank account in Jersey (channel isle) or isle of man. All your shit will be private, offshore, no tax reporting etc etc. The only hassel is a) declaring it if you want to access lots of your cash or flying to your account office each time to withdraw $10k at a time, take a few friends and it can be worth your while. You can get debit card for your account to use locally but then that leaves a paper trail. Depends on what you rsituation is. There are lots of sites out there that can offer advice.

There are many other tax havens, privacy strict countries just google it.

Thank you for asking this question Tegan. I am very interested in finding out more about this too. I don't really trust the stability of US banks at the moment and have thought of moving my cash to off shore or international accounts too.

Though I guess I don't really have to worry about this till I start making a bit more then I am right now.

If any of you want some consulting regarding how to setup a company (and all other related stuff) in Isles of Man then give me a holler since I know a pretty good lawyer who has helped some people I know.

This is the best option imo.

Reminds me of when I first started in this business in the 8th grade with $1500 cash on my dresser ;P

For real? Doesn't Britain have like over 9000 CCTV Cams to spy on their citizens?

If he doesn't live in the UK anymore, and is, as he describes, a 'tax nomad', the UK is an offshore tax haven for him. If he tells his UK bank he's living in (for example) Italy, they'll even pay him his interest gross.

Although he might need a drop off address - UK banks apparently tend to be quite keen on confirming the little details.

Unlike the USA, a UK citizen doesn't get taxed by his home country regardless of where he is. You leave the UK officially, you don't pay tax to the UK govt anymore.

This is well established fact, by the way.

HSBC offshore FTW. if you are actually offshore for more than 183 days a year (travelling, whatever) just declare yourself non-resident. its like 1 form to fill in and post and can be backdated to whenever. its 1 more form when you come back from travelling too. no uk tax and legal.
