Yeah Jesus Christ I wish I copied people's landing pages, I'd have it so easy finding material off here. I don't get why these dipshits aren't getting banned for it.

Wow, like all these fucking fake blogs are unique to begin with...

do you want me to make a list of all the gay ass fake blogs here in this thread for you?

LOL... i know rebills are shady but honestly given the amount of the first rebill itself is mostly already at 70$+ , they should let people cancel. It was only a matter of time until this was going to happen.

Depends on the company, there are a few in particular that are very good about cancellations & refunds (the ones located in the US) on rebill products.

They outed pages and strong-armed Facebook and Google to take action.
"They will be hearing from us" - oh shit.
"We have really good investigators at the FTC."

I missed the first 10min, can someone catch me up?

They showed 3-5 sites. Outed landing pages.

Strict No-No: "Stimulus", "Obama" and related images.

They're unhappy about: Negative options.

Facebook and Google are working with them.

"We do not publicly comment on ongoing investigations" - FTC's euphemism for "We do not have anything positive to report".
(Whenever something was there to report [Facebook/Google updates], she was too eager to share it with the reporters).

So nothing really unexpected.

There's a difference between bending the facts and straight up making shit up. Oh and implying an official relation to the US government will get you into trouble? No shit.

They did touch upon a few things though that apply to negative option offers:

- Don't obscure/hide/have lengthy terms
- Let the customer cancel and/or get his money back
- Don't charge the customer a completely unreasonable amount ($99 one time, $49 + $29 monthly? damn)

So yeah, anyone should have seen it coming that you won't get away with using government officials.

And any lawyer could have told the companies about the second part, been pretty much always the official line of the FTC regarding negative option type offers.
