Ever Chargeback Google?

Without going into too many details, I'm considering charging back some of the money Google charged to my Amex over the weekend.

Has anyone ever done this? Did they lock your account?

I already contacted Google customer support but I'm assuming I'm just going to get a canned response back.

Before I stand up and fight the Great Google God I just want to know what I'm getting myself into. I might just take the $7K on the chin.
 


charging them back is like ripping off the mafia. They will come and bust your kneecaps.
 
I'm pretty sure your adwords account will be terminated, not to mention Google will probably try to recover the money from you (and fight Amex's chargeback if possible). As long as Google provided the service, there's no legitimate reason to charge back.
 
I would be surprised if Amex would let you just charge back 7K without them trying to talk to Google first. Did you actually get the clicks you paid for?
 
I charged back a pretty big bill in 2002 after they banned me. They never tried to collect nor contact me about it, they didn't even dispute the chargeback.

I would assume their policy has changed over the years
 
The more I think about it, the more I'm leaning towards just swallowing the $7K. My account (from 2004) is worth more than that. It just sucked checking my credit card statement this morning and seeing $7K i wasn't expecting.

Oh well.

My only hope is they give me a credit for some percentage of the clicks.

sounds like you fucked up. big time.
 
I pre-pay my account purposely to avoid screw ups like this. It sucks to have to login to put money in the account all the time but its worth it.
