Can Wordpress blog be used for putting commercial ads ?

I see lots of people using blogger or Wordpress blogs as their home pages. Can they be used for commercial ad and link placement and is it recommended to put all your content on their server ?

Go with wordpress.org not .com, & don't even bother with blogger, so no it's not advisable to put all your hard work on their shitty free blogs, unless your blog farming.
