Hi Everyone!

I am looking to make a career with freelance writing. I am not a native speaking writer, but I can produce decent stuff.

I have been doing forum posting work along with some writing assignments since the last 6 months. I have articles accepted on sites like AC, and have got few repeat orders from clients as well, though article rejections have been a part and parcel as well.

I have improved overtime and would like to be one amongst the best writers with the help of a good mentor, so that I am able to make a full time living from writing assignments.

I am online for over 12 hours a day including weekends. Basically, the mentor should be able to proofread my articles, correct them and provide me appropriate feedback. I will pay a portion of what I earn from these articles towards the mentoring fees, or you can assign me articles as well which I will complete at a relatively cheaper rate.

The above text will give everyone a fair idea of my writing skills. Please message me, if anyone is interested and willing to help me on this. Thanks in advance to the helping soul. :)

Least you're more honest than the chick from Hamptons, I mean India... :P (you would had to have seen the thread to get that one.)

I probably would have left this out seeing as this is your first post. (Forum Posting work sounds more like spam than writing).

Best thing to have is a mentor for business/marketing more so than for writing.

Not really a mentor if you're hiring them, I guess some brown-nosing might bring the price down.

I'd rather see article samples, as thats a better indication of one's writing ability when they have to take an idea or topic and run with it. The text above shows at most you have a decent grasp of grammar.

Write some free articles for me and I will give you constructive feedback on them. I can't see anybody wanting to be your editor.

hmm......I shall keep your option as the last resort, if I don't find one after waiting for few days. Thanks!

I wouldn't mind proofreading/editing/providing feedback for you in return for, say, 3-5 articles per week.

This way you're not paying anyone to look over your work and you're also getting in some extra practice as well. Shoot me a PM if you want.

The OP did actually send me one article, I spent some time commenting on the writing style and making edits, sent it back to him as he was going to do some more for me, only to never hear from him again. Oh well.
