This thread would be a better e-book than every single e-book out there for rookies.
I kind of have to second that.

Uhhh the primary reason that you put them up spaced out is so that readers will return to your blog and read your new content/posts. Most people are not going to sit down visit your website and read 75 posts straight... However, if you update every few days then they will visit your site, read a few new posts, and then do that again next week.
I know that it benefits you for SEO to update periodically because google just likes to see you update things or some shit. I am not sure if there is any real disadvantage to putting them up all at once though...
Your categories suck.
Get rid of your current lame blogroll.
To snippet a wordpress article just put <!--more--> wherever you want the snippet to end.
Your article URLs should be changed. If someone links to your site example.com/archives/38 gives them no clue what the page is about. A much better url would be example.com/archives/the-muscle-fiber-types You should be able to do that with all in one seo pack.

Day 5 Summary:
-How to I change my sits URLS to stop looking like this?
example.com/archives/38
I can't figure it out. I want "38" to be the post title.
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
</IfModule>
Just c/p the code below into your .htaccess
Code:<IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /index.php [L] </IfModule>
in setting go to permalinks, go to custom and type in ' /%postname%/ ' it will use the name then in the urls
I agree lol this has helped me alot. Just think if I keep this journal up 2 years......because that is the plan right now![]()
I don't know how you're tracking your visitors, but if you're not already doing so I'd recommend using something like Google Analytics or Statcounter to see where your visits are coming from, what keywords they used to find you, etc.
It's been a while since I've done SEO and driving organic traffic (and I was never really great at it to begin with) but the only real advice I can give is to keep working at it every day and start building more sites. It might be a while before you see those first conversions so stick with it. Good luck bro.
hahaha... RIGHT ON!
You've got something right there that tons of others don't; Determination, persistence, desire, strive AND you've picked the perfect place to do this.
I smell a success story. Good luck!

PM me for something to assist with the backlinks, will give for free since you're doing this update thread![]()
Also my site is in Google Now. Found it by just searching the domain. If I could get my site up on page one just by searching any of these:
how to get a 6 pack
get ripped
how to get ripped
get 6 pack abs
get six pack abs
workout ripped
how to lose fat and build abs
etc
I would be happy........Long road I think though.
Hostgator gives me really good traffic details but it doesn't tell me what keywords people use though I do know how they got to my site (like from what link)
Some of those shouldn't be too hard once you get some external links. If you do some wikipedia style interlinking to your other posts you should be able to at least start showing up for some of them.
I don't know if there's a WP plug-in that will do that for you but there might be.
Get some pictures on there. Get rid of the WP footprint in the footer. Get some pictures on there. PM Red_Virus for some social bookmarking work, you'll see some pretty quick results if you pick the right keywords. Get some pictures on there. Adjust your sidebar via widgets to get rid of the 'Blogroll' and 'Meta' shit. Get some pictures on there.
Good luck bro
