Hey man, your page looks a lot better from before. 1 thing,

You stole the whole thing from http://www.yoursixpackquest.com

Your images still link to them. I was wondering if the image of the guy running was yours or not so I checked the image location. Your images are still directly hotlinked there.

Hell, your ordering link still points to them.

Thats one of the problems I'm having its not suppose to being doing that. I had my site redirect and mask to my affiliate site while I was working on my site before but its not changing yet. Once the DNS progation updates it should go to my wordpress site.
 
Are you sure you updated your name servers properly? I know they say to wait 24-72 hours but in my opinion they should have already updated.

Wow.....I must have not updated the name servers right. I wen't back to check and it had my old name servers. Don't know how that happened but I just changed it to the Hostgator nameservers (the 2 that I got with my welcome email).
 
also check your email, I'm not sure about hostgator, but you might have to confirm thru email before the changes are applied.
 
Day 3

Day 3 Summary:

-My website is now up and functional www.6packnow.net
-I have 2 posts, 6 pages, and 3 categories (my blog, articles, success stories)
-I decided not to use e-mail marketing and an autoresponder (at least not right now).
-I plan to make a post everyday and add an articles everyday.
-I have a form up on the Success Stories page (wander if it works?)
-Wordpress is FUCKING AWESOME. So easy to use. I have also added the SEO plugin as well.
-I have 11 visitors this month lol.

Questions Still Lingering in my brain:

-Why did I give up on this Forum around when I joined? (Oct 2008)
-Is there any other plugins and widgets I need to know about? :)
-How do I get my website to redirect to the about page in wordpress?

Future Projections
-I will continue to add posts to the "My blog" section and the "Articles" Section. I think I should add 1 post a day to the blog section and 2 posts a day to the articles section.
-Get some backlinks for my website and start spreading the word around the internet.

Current Assets

How do I get my website to redirect to the about page in wordpress?
Settings->Reading->Front Page Displays->Static Page.

Also check out Settings->Permalinks. Not essential but helpful for SEO and it looks so much better.

Personally I'd have shorter posts, too. The one that's currently on your frontpage could probably be split up into shorter entries. Saves work, stops scaring off readers, and probably better SEO benefits, too. Up to you.

The posts are right next to one another. If you're actually trying to get readers then I'd sort that.

Thanks for the help. I'll keep the posts the way they are. The articles are usually long. My blog entries will be kept short.

Day 4 Summary:

-40 website visits yesterday.
-Added 1 post to the blog, and 2 posts to the articles blog.
-I'm thinking about using bidvertiser ads in the middle of my articles. I gotta do something to monetize right now.
-I'm in the No Excuses 3 contest. That should help alot. I hope the affiliate program accepts me. There suppose to call me but I'm out of minutes on my phone and don't have a house phone.

Questions Still Lingering in my brain:

-Can I just add as many articles as I can or should I keep doing what I am doing? (2 articles a day)
-Anything else I can do? Seriously, I only worked on my site for like 10 minutes today? (this doesn't seem right)

Future Projections
-Nothing bad can happen so everything I do everyday will just be progress.

You aren't doing enough bro. Who says you only need to work on 1 site? Get some more domains and start working. Throw shit at the wall and see what sticks, then run with it.

Write dozens of articles and add them using scheduled posts. Problem solved and you have a lot of time to grab more domains and do the same :)

Do not not not put ads on sites promoting affiliate offers, you want the traffic to convert for your offer, not someone elses. My advice is to make a ton of scheduled posts in one day, and then spend the rest of your time on marketing.
 
wow I didn't know I could schedule posts. I will have to find this feature because I have 73 articles already done. Is there a reason for not putting up all your articles up at once? (like maybe its bad SEO)

Maybe having no ads is a good idea as well.

I'll have to read up on marketing, PPC, and such because my knowledge base of the advertising portion of my site is blank. Bad thing is I am dry on money but I do have $25 in Google Adwords that came with my hosting so I'll have to use that wisely.

Uhhh the primary reason that you put them up spaced out is so that readers will return to your blog and read your new content/posts. Most people are not going to sit down visit your website and read 75 posts straight... However, if you update every few days then they will visit your site, read a few new posts, and then do that again next week.

I know that it benefits you for SEO to update periodically because google just likes to see you update things or some shit. I am not sure if there is any real disadvantage to putting them up all at once though...

Not always true. I've actually seen conversions go up on certain sites because the users think I'm monetizing rather than with affiliate offers, so they click through to the offer without thinking twice.

Your categories suck.

Get rid of your current lame blogroll.

To snippet a wordpress article just put <!--more--> wherever you want the snippet to end.

Your article URLs should be changed. If someone links to your site example.com/archives/38 gives them no clue what the page is about. A much better url would be example.com/archives/the-muscle-fiber-types You should be able to do that with all in one seo pack.
