Damn this thread is like the lunch break at the place where they train mentally disabled people.

Sounds like your doing things yourself.... try this.

Submit rss feeds to rss directories (will also help you get picked up and scraped which results in more links).

Submit a couple articles - don't go crazy it's a waste of time to post 10000 articles pointing to the same site.

Do some small bookmarking and social networks.

Create web 2.0 properties (squidoo, hubpages, wetpaint) -- those properties link to you -- you also need to build up some links to them so your links have weight.

AND

Start building your own network (makes the most sense in the long run - you still have to do all that other crap - but it's yours and you can spam away).

This is basically what I do. I have classed these backlinks into three categories ranging from easy to hard. Its pretty self explanatory so easy is quite obviously easier and quicker to get and then move down the scale. Like someone said earlier you need to build links around your promoters. That is create a network. I call it promoting the promoters which gives those incoming links you have to your site more weight and therefore carries more link juice on to your site or page.

-Bookmarking, social submissions
-rss submissions
-blog directories
-classifieds

Medium
-Blog comments, squidoo/hubpages comments
-forum posts
-article submissions
-video submissions
-profiles on high PR sites like facebook, myspace etc.
-Lenses, Hubs and third party hosts
-Wikis
-Link exchanges with buddies

Hard(often paid links)
-Press Releases
-Article and Link Networks
-Feeder sites
-Guest Blogging

Make about 2 clicks over to the B-S-T thread and there are probably a half-dozen guys with decent ways to mix up your link profile and are pretty cheap.

Btw, saw the xrumer recommendation and I'd say to pay someone to do it for you the first couple times unless your aff site is making no money at all.
* You'll have to be very smart to spam a ton of people and have it work and/or not turn on you.
* You won't do that your 1st time with xrumer.

I did this a while ago, and get my links posted at auto-blogs which are low quality backlinks as far as Google is concerned. I'm on the fence on the value of this method.
