NEW Facebook Ads

Be carefull with the changing of the account currency.
It will copy all your ads to a second advertising account (inside your facebook account). All these new copies will be new ads, so they will be reviewed again and they start at 0 impressions. Your daily budget will be carried over to the new currency account.

Your old account will be paused completely (you can unpause everything) and your daily budget will drop back to $50.

+rep, that's fuckin nuts. But I would rather not have FB calculating the exchange rate for a non-USD account as they'll probably fuck you right in the cakehole on that one. They can't even calculate clicks, letalone currencies.

Great heads up CyngusX...

How common is cloaking on facebook these days. Since Facebook's latest updates to their self-serve ads have they started cracking down more on cloaking. You guys think its fairly risky, or standard practice in the FB game.

What kinda threat letter?

Telling me to delete all ads which violates their guidelines (why don't they delete it themselves, since they've disapproved a bunch of my solid ads anyway).

> Please delete any ads that violate these policies within 48 hours to bring your account into compliance with Facebook policies. Continuing to run ads that violate our policies may result in additional action being taken on your account, including possible termination.

Yeah and read the first comment on the note.

"........Since I switched currencies from USD to GBP my average CPC has almost doubled as I am having to bid the same in ££ as I was bidding in $$. I hope this is just a blip and it will be corrected soon.........."

lol

Running rebills by any chance?

I got that email awhile ago too. The weird thing is the account that the email got sent to didn't even have any ads running, and no rebill ads that were even paused. It is kind of insulting to be asked to delete your ads that violate TOS when they go in and deny the ads anyway (especially if you can't find any offending ads). If you're going to deny some ads why not just deny all the offending ones and don't send the email?

Great news! Thanks for the update...

Anyone using FB ads? If so, please provide me with some feedback.

Thanks!
  1. Nothing in this thread is great news
  2. Everyone in this thread is using Facebook ads
  3. This entire thread is feedback
  4. If this is an attempt to get your sig into a popular thread, I'd strongly reccomend you rethink your tactics before a mod grumpier than myself sees it.

There first part was was sarcasm buddy...

As for the second....i guess laziness took over me so I didn't need to sort through all 11 pages...

ZING!
Just read through a few. It's pretty easy to figure out how it goes.
Just think of the most logical and profitable way someone could run a business.
Then assume facebook did the opposite.
You'll rarely be wrong.

Facebook Glitch??

Hi,

Has anyone else just noticed a fair chunk of their Facebook ads that have been successfully running for months are now showing as 'Disapproved'...?

I contacted my Rep here in the UK and he says it must be a 'glitch' in the system!

Geez i hope so....I see no 'intern' clicks in my tracking either.

Anyone else?

S

Ya it's a minor glitch in the FB adserver. Way to pass the buck.
