With google doing everything they can it seems to destroy affiliates in favor of direct advertisers, I've been really looking at what I do to build up new campaigns in the future.

One of the things I've read over multiple times is that google doesn't want anyone to use LPs for pre-sell then link directly to the advertiser (Thus why cloaking is so popular).

Anyways , I've been curious about the possibility rather of using opt-in lists for the sales page, collecting their info then marketing them via email for the offer on the page (and then you have the ability to retain the information for later use , similar offers, ect).

A few have talked about this being even more effective as it builds authority in the minds of the viewers , and can increase conversions, however it can be longer due to the fact the drip campaign can be longer.

The other benefit is that Google doesn't see this as cloaking and in the past, I've seen other sites with similar on-page seo , content , links and the like, and the email capture was one of the only differences.

If your some douche bag who can only copy n paste flogs/farticles then your going to have a hell of a time writing email copy that will actually sell.

With email marketing, you actually have to have some copywriting/marketing skill.

I guess you could always just spam millions of emails addresses and maybe make some money... but if you actually take the time to write good email copy, and build at least a little bit of trust with your subscribers, then you can have an insane ROI.

Or you can just ignore Google like I do.

This is making more and more sense these days.

^This.

And, the fact that Google also frowns on email optins, as they fall under their policy against "Data Collection". Your 1/10 QS will be just around the corner.

You will get hit by a slap with optins as well. They have been hard on optins for a while now. The other thing I usually do is, I get them to follow me on twitter, facebook or subscribe to my rss. Then I try and get their emails. Hope this help.
