Hi! My name is Monica. I am new on this forum! I am writing my thesis about affiliate marketing in the travel industry. My goal is to describe which factors are most important for consumers when booking a trip online and what the role of affiliate websites is in this search process.
I want to set up a large questionnaire to get some conclusions. However, I have some difficulties setting up my research. First of all, I want to do a small research to get some ideas of how to set up my main research. The small research will include some general open ended questions, like:

- How many travel websites will you visit to compare prices and / or packages?
- What kind of research do you do on possible destinations?
- When you use a travel website, what factors are predetermined before you visit and what do you decide on after comparing options?
- How do you find travel websites online?
- What motivates you to finally book the trip?

What do you think of these questions and do you have any ideas for other questions?:1zhelp:

i answered you other duplicate post and i'll do it again here.. just now i have a diff question after actually reading your whole post.

why would you be writing your thesis on a topic you don't even know how to research?

once again.....lets cut the crap here.

- Have you jumped off during the ordering process and why?

The same shit as always pretty much. Safety. Reliability. Price. Comfort. Speed. Titties.

what the role of affiliate websites is in this search process

We provide the content and help them drill down into what they want.

If you don't want to write your paper I'll gladly do it for you for a small fee + slightly larger research price add-on.

Thanks Emp!

For all the other respondents: I thought this forum could maybe inspire me...
I am disappointed in the way how people react to each others questions.

Maybe a question about whether they actually know they've been referred by an affiliate. I don't think most people even realize it. If they did it might affect their reaction to the content they read on the affiliate's site and not click through.

Yes Bombastic, I think they will respond differently when they know.

What you you think is the difference for consumers when they buy something on a website of an affiliate or on the website of the advertiser (for example a tour operator)?

Just that they may be swayed by an affiliate's "review" of the package or whatever it is, thinking that it's objective when it's really a veiled sales pitch.

Look at all these amateurs asking for titties. Little do they know that since I'm answering your questions you're gonna give up the booty to ME! :338:

Do you think consumers will respond negative when they know they are buying a product on the affiliate 's website instead of on the advertisers website?

YES, because people hate it when other people make money - It's commonly known as 'jealousy'. Any tittays? :338:
