I be where I am
I am digging through my music collection and am looking for new tunes to work to.

What are the top 3 albums you listen to while rolling through the day?

Just listening to stuff right now - can't listen to 3 albums over and over but I do like my urban mix while working. There's a station in tDot that plays some insane club style yard party mixdowns which I find nice to work to. If you spin, or understand mixing/audio well, you'll appreciate what this DJ line up does (most radio DJ's are just good selectors and voices, these guys match up the best MC's/voices with actual talent for DJ's..)

Check it - last button on the right to listen live - Flow935 >>

To contrast that - I also love to work to classical

Trance and uplifting music. Also I don't like music with vocals when I'm working because it gets me distracted.

Usually I'm with ya. Trance or breaks while working and hip hop while chillin, but I have found older hip hop such as atmosphere, josh martinez, and pharcyde to be getting it done for me.

Any recommendations on trance albums? Been getting down with Tiesto, Sasha, and Thievery Corp. most recently.

I love listening to dredg and Rise Against. Yeah, two completely different bands, but they both just seem to do it for me.

A State of Trance (ASOT) podcasts are usually pretty good. There's 400-something episodes out. Probably worthwhile to check Tiesto's Club Life podcast as well.
Also if you like Hard Trance, check out Ministry of Sound Hard NRG albums, the first one is kind of handsup and cheesy, but the rest are a good listen. There's eight albums I believe.

Jackin' funky house. Trance is for faggots and so 1993.

and much much more. If you like house music you are doing yourself a great disservice if you don't check these guys out.

Seriously.

Additionally, Gilles Peterson's Worldwide show, weekly the BBC, is by far the best source of new musical influence for jazz, soul, r'n'b, house, lounge, lofi, world beat, etc. etc. etc. Once again, if you want to be on the cutting edge of new music, you are missing out if you don't listen to Gilles every week.

You can can download his show and many more, like Ninja Tunes' "Solid Steel" (also a mainstay of up and coming tunes, more on the hiphop vibe), 6 Mix, etc. at themixingbowl.org.
