I have a mainstream site that produces alot of impressions but not allot of click thrus, but the few I do get usually pay pretty well. This morning I woke up to it getting just a few cents a click, I am assuming i am getting smartpriced. So my question is will this smartpricing effect all my adsense click thrus even from pages on other domains that are getting high CTR?

I've heard it lasts a week and resets on thursdays, but I have seen some people say it lasts a month. Who knows.

is this one of the reasons the big G gets so pissed if you have multiple accounts?

So do you pull everything offline and give the system time to drop you from smartpricing, or just dump the site with the low ctr?

Im pretty I was smartpriced and it hasnt been reset. Of course, I never stopped my campaign. Do I need to stop it for some time before I restart?

i believe you've got to pull everything off and go with another network to have adsense reset

If you get smart priced. I find that the perfect oppertunity to switch to yahoo or other ideas. Perfect time for testing since you're getting screwed anyways.

Is there a way to avoid it? Im thinking if you only run it for parts of the day or something like that? Any thoughts?

I'd like to know that, too.

I wasn't using AdWords and I still got smartpriced yesterday. :( It happened right after the google bot visited a non-arbi section of my website that had some content from GetMyArticles.com (and no adsense on those pages, even!). But it was pretty annoying to see my clicks go from around $1 to $0.10.

what about adding that no bot code that was posted up here a little while back- so the bots won't visit your site?

that is for the search engine bots, not the contextual ones. I think the quality of your traffic is the biggest factor of being smartpriced or not.
