Getting back followers on Twitter - how?

Hi guys,

I'm sure there's tons of techniques. But is there one obvious one that comes to mind, to get more ppl to follow you back on Shitter?

I see many Twitter sites have an almost equal amount of followers to their following.

I'm following a lot of key twitter'ers in my category - but have a very small ratio of followers.

Do you need to keep @ messaging them or what?

I was able to gain several hundred followers in a week using mass follow scripts. Check out flashtweet.com, they have a really good one which you can a free 2 week trial for but after that it's ~$7 / month. Twitterbotscript.com has a nice automated tweet script and you can mass follow but it's not as great as flashtweet. There are a million others too.

Basic strategy is to massfollow people in your demo, wait a day or so and unfollow the ones who didn't follow you back and repeat. I found that taking time to reply to people definitely helped but takes too long to be worthwhile IMO. Hope that helps, good luck.

If your looking for some targeted followers, and want to use a tool created by a WickedFire member, and Affiliate Marketer, then wait for the Twit Sniper 2.0 Post. Digga, is twit sniper going to be fully automated? I am really interested in finding a script that will mass follow / defollow from a cron job so I can fully automate my twitter stuff. Sounds interesting anyway.
 
I've used Hummingbird... it was ok, not the greatest, but did the job. Want to remove anyone who doesn't follow you quickly, I suggest you google twitter karma. Free and fast.
 
If you want to get followers your page has to look interesting and your tweets have to be interesting. Provide quality content, get followers.
