I wanna get started making money online; ppc marketing and SEO etc. SO i have some questions
1. i'm 17 with a savings account that has my moms name. my question is. Should i put my name or my mom's names when they ask for a name when im signing up? DO i put my SS or her SS for tax reasons etc?

2. what is the best way for a beginner to make money online? affiliate links? ppc marketing? click bank? polls?

3. and where should i start? i already have two websites, one's a .com the other a .info. what do i do with them? any recommened books or threads?

When I was 16-17 I just used my own information (except I lied about my birthday to make myself 18) and had checks mailed to me that I cashed at checking cashing places. I either got paid through checks or paypal, and my paypal was tied to a custodial savings account (like yours) but paypal didn't know or care so I could transfer money to and from there whenever I needed.

As for using your mom's info... you could fuck her over by doing that, so I wouldn't use her info unless you really don't like her or unless you're giving her money to cover all the taxes you'll owe.

EDIT: after reading your entire thread you sound like you're completely clueless so maybe you should just spend those remaining months reading up on this stuff until you're 18.

i agree with the waiting to be 18, i wanna be sure I don't mess up my mom's shit or anything like that. As for reading up i will, ill be reading up like crazy. nickycakes is amazing, reading right now. ill probably just lurk around and read posts like crazy so i can get a sense of what exactly you do to make money.

Any more suggestions will be welcomed

Start with small time stuff like pushing youtube traffic to email submits etc... after you amass enough capital ($1 - 2k) decide on facebook ppc, normal seo, black hat... whatever works for you, and then go with it.

Get a prepaid CC; if you're in the US, shouldn't have much of a problem using it for stuff online (for things like direct deposits to it, you probably will have to give your SSN and some basic contact info to whoever you get the card from.)

im 16 (young I know), and i opened up an account at my local bank and made sure to get a debit card as well. It might take a while for you to complete this process, but its worth it. and whoever told you to just wait till your 18 is a moron. the best way to learn in this industry is to get your feet wet and test, test, test. Make sure you have a decent amount of money to set aside for testing and other expenses, $500 at the least. I used 1.5k first starting out. gl hf

Ask Harrison if he decided to wait...Nope...Now he's making more than a lot of us combined and still not old enough to buy a pack of smokes...I recommend learning some designs skills (photoshop) then reading up on html, css and some php. then in the meantime you could do some design work and get some cash flow coming in and/or like above poster said do some SEO, youtube, twitter, etc. to get some affiliate cash.

definitely gonna get started with something free. I have a debit card so im good with that. My question is can i do all this and not worry about taxes, or at least not have to give out my mother's SS? i dont mind paying taxes its the SS that i can't use.

reading that nickycakes guy atm. just wondering, does he mention any of that youtube, twitter, facebook etc advetising you guys were suggesting?

Don't know exactly how things are in the US, but here in the UK you don't have to declare any income until after 3 months of making money - perhaps there's something similar across the pond.

We've worked with a lot of aff's under 18. I've gone as far as talking to parents. Then later the parent became an affiliate after their son saw how much they were making. Just talk with your mom and tell her what you want to do and see how she takes it.

I'd suggest starting out with something that doesn't cost much and is a minimum investment. Being as you don't have a lot of money to lose you might want to start with something like building out bloggers, hubpages or whatever on free hosting. Writing content and trying to rank it in the search engines. This you can do for next to nothing. Once you bring in a couple bucks show you mom "Hey look at this money I made online" and that will ease her pain a lot. Also, in doing that you'll learn some skills that are viable for anything.

I think for seo related stuff Clickbank is a good place to start.

okay so i'm following nickycakes. i signed up for COPEAC and it hit me up with a W-8 form. as ive already said im 17, so im confused. what information do i put? mine? or my mom's?
