Some offers on my network say this in the guidelines for the offer:

"No drops late Friday or Weekends"

What does that mean?

its for email marketers mainly. (you might find a lot of those offers are for email only)
It means no mailing during those times. Or pause your campaign if it allows ppc and you are running it.

keep volume down on friday/over the weekend, don't drive email or launch a large 24/48 hour campaign during this time.

it's usually due to lead based stuff (mortgage/edu leads /etc ) where there isn't staff to process the leads on the buyers (advertier's) end until monday and they don't want leads that have aged for 48-72 hours.

I doubt that's the reason because the very same logic could be applied to any other traffic source.

100 leads a week split over 7 days relatively evenly due to normal traffic pattenrs or some moron dropping on a saturday resulting in 90 leads on sat and 10 on sunday?

Not the same at all.

I'm doing ppv, so does this mean I should basically just pause the campaign on friday and restart it sunday night?

Why would you not just ask your affiliate manager? Thats what he's paid for. Nobody here has any idea why that specific offer has those specific terms.

Another reason for this type of campaign rule is because merchants aren't at work on the weekends and cannot review lead quality. So they don't want someone doing a large drop on Friday afternoon, have it tank for them the whole weekend and be stuck paying for a bunch of unprofitable leads.
