Dec 1st, FTC (Fuck This Chit)

this will really weed out the weak marketers. If rebills are dead there goes 80% of affiliate networks income and 80% of there marketers unless they can adapt. Its a good thing. Affiliate marketing was/is becoming to big for its own good. to many people just jumping in and throwing up a website with free all over it making easy money.

The days of $xx,xxx daily profits will probably be gone for awhile until we hit another golden age like the acai buzz. Of course there will always be the Top dogs of the markets but im guessing its gonna be like the clickbank days where theres only so many good offers to push so naturally you got every top dog in the industry fighting for top position while everyone else fights for scraps.

Yup im guessing its gonna get a lot harder. I welcome the challenge myself, I've been so unmotivated to do anything. Now that things are getting harder I feel myself getting motivated to get out there and dominate some markets while everyone is standing around scratching there head thinking on what to do now.

"now that things are getting harder?" nothing has changed yet dipshit... it's been Dec 1st for like 3 hours and if you're on west coast it's been Dec 1st for 30 minutes. are you telling me that in THE LAST THIRTY MINUTES you can feel yourself getting motivated to get out there and "dominate some markets?"

i swear this place gets dumber by the day.
 
there is certainly going to be some evolution within the industry. continuity billings are not dead. neither are testimonials, the offer should start supplying them to affiliates.

I dunno if you've been living under a rock the past couple a months but the hammers has been coming down across the board for awhile now.

Google bans.

advertisers and affiliates getting in trouble with the AG

Rebills all over the media making the FTC get more involved because people are pissed.

ad serving networks cracking down and making everyone throw up guideline rules on every part of your page.

Offers were already starting to dry up because of all the new FTC guidelines put in place. couple months ago.

Now the FTC doing this. You better bet your ass shits gonna start drying up. People pushed this shit to the limit. Im sure there are gonna be some offers that try and push the boundaries just to squeeze out some profits till the next wave of FTC guidelines come crashing through. But yeah keep telling yourself nothings gonna happen because of this. As far as i can tell you don't own any offers so you don't know what kind of shit they have to deal with as the advertiser supplying these products. They don't give a rats ass if you can get away with not following the FTC guidelines. They care about there own asses getting sued not you.

Companies already do that sort of thing, look at all the customer focus groups and market research firms. In fact on neverblue there is a CPL offer for "ipos" doing product surveys and reviews in return for prizes.

Yup, it's now officially impossible to make money online. The FTC is just gonna rape everybody. It's weird though that EWA, Copeac, Azoogle, Neverblue, etc, don't seem overly concerned.

Also kind of weird that most affiliates don't really care too much either. It's weird that in the past few weeks a few killer acai and colon offers have started up. Did that not know doomsday was December 1st or what?!

Oh well. Back to the drawing board...

For diet offers that allow incentivized traffic, pay people for their testimonial. Use testimonials to start a blog for PPC/PPV etc, and then just put the "Paid Endorsement" in the disclaimer, and censor their identity in some way (stating this in the disclaimer too, for privacy. Probably just hiding a last name or changing a last name). Congratulations, you have a real testimonial. If your paid testimonial lies to you I don't believe it's your responsibility.

I am from asia ( pakistan), do I have to worry about these changes? I am really concerned as I only very recently started to make money online and now this! :(
 
They always release this kind of stuff in December when everyone has their head in the wrapping paper.

One thing is sure, they already have their sights set on someone . . . and that someone will be exposed come March / April.

From there, it will all become a lot more clear.
 
If some of the big rebill merchants wanted to get an edge and get a lot of extra traffic during this transitional period, they would be smart to provide their own testimonials. Just an opinion.
