Why 21+ for ASW?

Anyone knows why? And do they seriously check your ID there?

Some booths at ASW serve alcohol so everyone has to be 21+ so they don't end up serving minors. Everything else in Vegas is 21+ anyway so it doesn't make much of a difference. Having ASE be 21+ seems stupid though.

It's because alcohol is served. Besides, with some of the parties that are hosted, NOT being 21 could be a liability for some party hosters, especially considering where some of these parties are.

Yeah, it's kind of a big "Fuck Yu" to all of the chaps under 21 (formerly myself). There's plenty of things you can do to attract attention to your booth other than serve beer. And if you're going to serve beer, just pay someone to stand there and ID anyone suspicious.

Just sounds like Shawn wants to prevent an overflow of teenie boppers, although more and more our industry is becoming these people (well, "us"). Missing out on a good demographic I think.

It works. Although, there would be a sweet handful of talented people 18-21 who would attend, I'm 100% sure it would bring in a fail boat full of noobs.

lol, you better get a fake ID or have a Plan B... I have several friends who have gone to conferences and are under 21 - we were cock blocked by parties, strip clubs, and clubs even slipping them a $100 or something, doesn't work. Sometimes it does, but most of the time it does not. Since this is Vegas, you better damn well have a fake ID or a "loaner" from an of-age look-a-like friend.

This topic comes up just before EVERY Affiliate Summit. So I highly doubt that.

if you're under 21 and can't figure out how to get into affiliate summit without an id then you're in the wrong industry anyway.
