At the end of 2008 I was wanting desperately to get OUT of my company.
I make between 120 and 300K/year. Not bad scratch - but I am an owner and a slave to the machine. I travel FAR too much.
I tried to quit and it quickly got ugly with the other owners. I can only afford to quit if I get a decent buyout OR a fallback income. It was then I realized that I needed to build up a new career/job/income source/whatever and started in learning online marketing. I have the right technical background - Oracle databases, programming, reporting, etc. I can make data do shit that no one else can and have been for years. If you need to derive stats, etc - I'm your man. It' s the perfect skill set for AM.
In 2009 I went from wanna-be clickbank affiliate to wanna-be clickbank author to wanna-be affiliate product/blog seller to wanna-be affiliate marketer...
...and then...
...and then....I found WickedFire.
After coming here I made my first real commission online. I now have a select group of SEO/Affiliate customers I work with. I outsource all the work to people I've met on here and the business is growing. Unlike many of you I like working with others and I want to build a real long term marketing business, etc, with the goal of selling it. I love building companies - been doing it since I was 23.
I have a good start. I owe it all to Wicked Fire. You guys all rock.
Happy New year and keep it up. My 2010 goal is to quit my "real" job. And the REAL fun part is my partners tried to fuck me when I tried to leave before by offering me about 20 cents on the dollar for my shares. If I just up and quit I automatically get 50 percent and they can not prevent it. The best they can do is beg.
