Has anyone here gone the route of buying/setting up facebook applications and putting straight affiliate offers on them as opposed to PPC ads.

I bought a Twilight App the other day that im testing with some NVB ads, and FB PPC.

Anyone else doing this with success? Tried it and had no success? Tips or pointers?

No, that's sort of what sgtryan was explaining.

I guess im just pretty confused. Could you explain a bit for me? If you have affiliate ads, on a facebook app or anything for that matter, are you not doing affiliate marketing? Or is affiliate marketing simply PPC and landing pages?

It's like there's the internet and then there's science. The dichotomy between the two can be so far apart they have no relation to one another.

it is best to make myspace groups for affiliate marketing. the groups are super tight and targeted for maximum ROI

But what if you have the app and the affiliate ads about the same exact thing. For instance a movie, or a video game?

I was gonna write out my experience promoting affiliate offers on facebook apps but then I read pamela's response. So, Dullspace.

I almost bought Farm Town for $10K a year ago, but I turned it down because that was way too expensive. I'm about to go in a deal to buy Mafia Wars for a few thousand with a couple guys from BHW. You want in?

That's a badass deal if zynga sells you mafia wars for only a few grand.
