Mmmmm... I could post some of the recorded calls the advertiser sent over. Rather dull but definitely damning.
I am not taking sides here and not looking to adjudicate this dispute.
Pretty sure the tapes are boring as hell and I am happy to leave it to others to pick through this unfortunate incident.
It would be nice to have some trusted authority to sort through such disputes, while I will remain a (mostly) silent observer.
I think this is an important/key question and I see no reply to it.
Mind sharing some type of answer to this?
I absolutely think networks should be sharing info about fraudulent pubs. Fraud in this industry affects EVERYONE.
It sounds like the calls were apart of the credit report method, as in the job that was being advertised had a number to call when applying at which point the affiliate (or staff) would pick up and say that the credit report is needed in order to complete application.
This is just my guess as to what these calls could be.
Looks like the OP bit off a little more than he could chew this time around. I could never understand how some of these guys promoting in blatantly fraudulent ways have the audacity to argue so strongly to receive their measly payment...
And people sending bullshit non-legit traffic is costing them millions of dollars.
For the record Hydra owed me money that I had forgot about roughly $1k and logged in just to look for an offer I couldn't find elsewhere and contacted an AM and I got payment within a week. If your traffic is good you will get paid.

I'm all against fraudulent leads, but I'm all for second chances as well. Why should he get banned from so many networks just because of his shitty mistake with one?
absolutely! we've all gone through the days "pushing the limits" on incent/frauding offers.. it's part of the game and you live and learn.
umm.. no. there not going to be sending "millions of dollars" in fraud traffic as they catch on to quality after 20-30 leads.
that's 95% of Wickedfire members dude.. people here are willing to do anything to make a buck - you just gotta learn the quality/incent/fraud game and what is and what is not acceptable.. this guy sent some fraud traffic and yes, he shouldn't be paid, but no he should not have his information illegally sent to other networks.. he'll learn his lesson and move on!
networks need to stop being global police and start hounding down on quality more.. don't let a pub send $1k worth of traffic if he is new. have him send a $150-200 test and check in with the advertiser before he's good to go on more volume
Let him move on to Clickbank or some other crappy network and "reform"... this is just like what we mailers do when one asshole takes our email to spamcop, we share his email address and he's removed from everybody's list everywhere. One strike policy across the board. Nip this shit in the bud and move on.
