Ok, so I have prosper all set up and I can see what urls are being served to my LP's via the {keyword} argument for prosper. But I am rotating LP's, and I want to see which targets are actually clicking through, how can I set this up? Does anyone have a guide where this is explained? Thank you

If you are direct linking then this is a more complicated answer, however if you are using your own landing pages and encoding them with Prosper202 landing page javascript code then you can use the full power of P202 to see which landing pages ultimately have the best conversion rate, from beginning to end. HINT: Click on Analyze and then Landing Pages.

If however you ARE direct linking, and dont control the landing pages, you'll need to make sure you are using P202 as the tool which is doing the landing page rotation. Then you can go to the Visitors tab, Display only Show Converted Clicks and count the amount of times you see each landing page when hovering over the Redirect icon for each Subid. Then its just a matter of doing the math.

Ok, I figured out the first part, thank you very much. But, I am using the rotate.php script that is provided on prosper to direct link and using that process, but isn't that more of a hack and not necessarily going through prosper?

You are correct. You need to rotate direct links using Prosper202 and not use this external script if you want P202 to know about which page got the conversion. Prosper202 allows you to specify up to 5 landing pages to rotate when you setup an offer.

+rep given.

But only 5? Fuck, what if I want more than five lp's? What do you do, is there some alternative to prosper that has this built in?

i was told by my AM at TV that not all users actually see the LPs presented to them. Some appear as popunders so that would definitely skew your results - as you can't click on what you can't see...

if someone could post some code to 'force' the LP to appear on top of the the majority of browsers i'm sure it would help some!

I know where you are coming from but iterative improvement using a smaller number of test participants (landing pages) will yield quicker more actionable (and profitable) results then trying to test all 30 some possible landing pages which are available.

Get inside your target market's head and then pick the 5 you think they would react to most. If you aren't able to think like your prospect then i'd change to promoting something which you can role play inside your own head.
