hey, thanks Arriane, I meant to post a further update here.
After my one day trial, I hired one of SEOaffiliates VA's full time, paying weekly - just started week 2. Quality has not dropped off from the trial. The VA, shows up on time everyday, has good English skills, and gets all the work done without issue.
The VA knows how to do directories, social bookmarking, profiles, blog comments, as requested. He's always on skype to discuss anything. I have therefore hired a second member of his team...starting tomorrow.
If you need a full time VA, so far I have nothing but good things to say about this team.

Except for the fact that in your 1 day trial it took him 12 mins per social site.... (if it was 8 hours)...
45 profiles and 45 social bookmarks...so 6 minutes/link. For having to set up the account, confirm it, then post...I don't think that's too bad.
My biggest issue with VA's is getting them to do consistent work. It's excuse after excuse for why they didn't get the work done.

I just wanted to revise my reviews above. As I said, the biggest issues I have with VA's is consistency, they show up and then they don't. Unfortunatly this week, this team has shit the bed.
No one showed up on Sunday night (Monday their time) and no one told me that no one wasn't going to show up until the end of the day.
They put me in touch with another VA...that person had an outline of what I wanted done, but they wouldn't respond to my messages...and I still haven't received any report from them, and don't know if any work was done.
Then yesterday...again...no one shows up, and no one let's me know. So it's now going to be Wednesday their time...and no communication whatsoever.
So yeah...take my original reviews and reverse them. Hopefully they'll turn things around, but their at strike 2.5 and I haven't heard from them...

I just want to say some testimonials about what 'Mr.farking' have been stated on this thread..First of all, I want to apologize for the delay of work yesterday,this is because of the power shortage that the whole country of Philippines has been experiencing. Due to power shortage, electricity has been scheduled to cut off in the different places around the city.(RP facing looming power shortage - energy dept - Business - GMANews.TV - Official Website of GMA News and Public Affairs - Latest Philippine News) for reference. I am stating the whole truth behind the reasons of the delay of updates to the clients, but still we make sure that at the end of the day, clients received the daily update. We can't do anything about this problem, but still on the time of black-out, we do our best to do some alternative solutions to this. What we do is to transfer to another location bringing our materials(laptops) to the area which electricity is available. We are not stating this because we threat clients on not getting our services,but we are asking for their kind consideration on the problems we currently encounter until the situation is okay.We are fully dedicated on our work,that is why we try our best to do some alternative solutions on this. We hope that this statement will explain everything that clients wants to ask from us.
Ps. 'Mr. Farking' is currently our client and still gets services from us together with other clients..
