Experiences With Hosting Affiliate Programs?

I just started a promotion on JustHost and now I'm being told that JustHost, HostGator and other hosting companies have a SHIT track record of screwing Affiliates over of their commissions.

I just did about $10k or so the past 2 days and now I'm a little concerned.

Any experiences you guys want to share?

Any input is appreciated - even a more reliable hosting company that doesn't fuck their affiliates. (Getting $125/lead payout right now).

Thanks.

well the thing with most of these programs is that they have to keep paying for at least 1 or 2 months before you get credited for the referrals so it can be quite a bit of a problem on trying to collect for past conversions

Right. I've noticed that as well.

But I've had friends who will do like $20k in HostGator commissions, then end up with $6k.

Don't these guys work on a CPA basis?

Who do you think's most reliable?

I still have $6k sitting in a banned HostGator affiliate account from a couple years ago.

I never had problems with being paid with IX Web Hosting, Liquidweb, Hostmonster, and the Planet. Liquidweb even gives you 5% recurring every month on top of the one-time referal.

Just wondering - are you using PPC or PPV/Media Buy to promote these offers? I am 100% SEO in that market and are looking for ways to expand.

Doing 5k a day and asking around if they pay. little strange. You started hosting affiliate programs promotions and did 10k in 2 days ?

Thanks
Sam

Listen, I know people that were "screwed" by hosts by thousands as well, but come to find out, their sales all CANCELED because they were doing shady shit like making offers they couldn't keep. "Sign up with HostGator and we'll make you a site that is GUARANTEED to make you $2,000 a month! Click here!"

I strongly recommend talking with the host you are concerned with. Tell them your worries and that you are going to send the traffic elsewhere and they will probably surprise you.

Honestly I hate promoting Hosting programs. They offer so much money and it's so tempting, but when payment time comes around I used to get so many reversals for bullshit reasons.

I would stay away from them as my main form of traffic/commissions.

Go via Cj route. And if it happens.. Talk to them via CJ.

Thanks
Sam

Yeah no, CJ sides with the advertisers 9 times out of 10. Plus they're so slow and take forever to respond. Much better to establish communication with the CJ advertisers before you start generating leads for them.

A friend of mine said that they scrub real hard and only make partial payments. We're working with a couple new ones that wont do any shiesty shit to turn their network into traditional CPA's.
