Let's Discuss Scrapebox

Based on my 10,000+ monthly comments, I think most scrapebox users are laundering links like this:

idsz2g.png

Octogon = pr1 blog post with nofollow comments

circles = non-indexed web 2.0 properties

Square = vintage coffee cups auto blog that makes $3 per year (verified via digitalpoint.com listing)

I wish I was joking.

I'm sure most of you here are able to use the tool more wisely but it's safe to say that most of scrapebox users are complete morons which is a shame because if properly used it is very powerful.

The most epic post of 2010 so far....good god, I congratulate you good sir.

In regards to scrapebox users being morons: YES. Go read the 123123 page thread at BHW, guys asking why they need proxies and sharing commenting templates.

No one realizes the implications of using the fast poster. In fact, I'm going to start a weekly series on my blog of my favorite bullshit spam comments from that tool.

The one spam comment I approved:

This was before I knew about Scrapebox but I knew about spam and all that stuff and my whitehat high ranking site was getting hit with spam comments (this was prior to askimet). I used to go through each comment and approve the non-website linked ones.
But there was one that I did approve.
It was something along these lines:

"Hello webmaster can I use some of the information from this post if I provide a link back to your site?"

I approved it with the backlink and the owner got a whopping high PR backlink amidst all the spam. People that don't know about scrapebox will approve this comment and there's a pretty good chance of it happening.

Good luck and remember to spin.

Scrapebox is just a useless piece of software which is overhyped. Definitely not for newbies. Those who bought it are ashamed to admit that they wasted the money.

Google will be heavily penalizing sites promoted like this by the end of the year, based on the insider information floating around.

If it was making money for the owner, he won't be selling it. So, why the hype?

The answer is shocking. I won't name names, but you will see more and more such products coming up to get your sites nuked from the Google index. They have all one intention: to reduce competition.

So who is behind this? I won't say anything, but I heard that they had a meeting at AdTech, and were laughing at everyone who bought Scrapebox.

My recommendation: DO NOT EVEN THINK OF USING IT. STAY AWAY.

I'm glad somebody finally came out and said it.

Well, whatever I can do to help the newbies. There is a lot of misinformation being passed around. I hesitated whether to post or not, but when I remembered those guys laughing at the poor newbies who spent their hard earned money to buy this product...their evil laugh still echoes in my ears. It is not right, man...it is not right at all.

whooshhhhh

Save your money, all my web2 sites got de-indexed after I ran scrapebox links to them and now my money sites have tanked. Co-incidence? I don't think so. Stick to getting manual links its much safer.

people are so fucking stupid.. scrapebox didnt do that to you.. your inability to know how to properly use scrapebox did

Actually, it was scrapebox.

After download, Google spidered my home IP address and I forgot to put no-index meta tags on filezilla. This lead to google scanning logs & finding all of my sites. They preemptively banned every site I had.

For those of you not completely retarded: how many daily backlinks can a decent web 2.0 site handle before you see the individual page get delisted or drop off in rankings.

So you're spamming the shit out of a squidoo lense or whatever, assuming you're posting unique comments, preferably on blogs related to the target niche, how much have you been able to send out there and get results?

Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out.

I used scrapebox very cautiously and it still fucked me over. I now have to use altavista as my search engine because google blacklisted me as well. To any one looking for a linkbuilding tool I'd say are your sites that unimportant to you that you would want to take the chance after our experiences?
