it seems like buying 10 dollar domains all the time can add up. is it advisable to buy one general domain, and then run different offers just by making different pages?

omng yes some seasoned expert please answer this as I have been wondering the same thing althought I have seen some people use one single domain like you said and make review pages for each product that they promote on the same domain like the mysterious marketer.com website for exampl.

I too was hoping to the same thing but since I got the chance to find out if its worth it or not I'll hold out till I find out

If they all fall under one general category (or at least if the prospective buyers belong to the same demographic), yes.

that's what i was thinking. seems like you can save a lot of money buying "bunchofelectronicproducts.com" and then just having a bunch of pages for all types of electronic products.

can anyone provide an example of a successful site like this?

i usually snatch one up for every niche type offer. one for dating, one for weightloss etc..

it really depends on the campaign and where i'm running it

Well I'm not a seasoned professional, but here's how I do it:

I have one generic top level domain, say myoffers.biz. Then for each landing page I'll create a relevantly named subdomain. So for a solar panel lead offer, I'll have solarpanelquotes.myoffers.biz. This is cheaper, faster and easier to manage than a new domain for each offer, and I don't think you lose anything by doing it. Google Adwords let you write in any display URL you want any way.

so, for instance, you would run a weightloss campaign on loseweightnow.com, wait til it runs dry, and then start a new campaign on that same domain?

I'm just a total noob so take the following with a large pinch of salt...

I think the domain doesn't matter if you're buying traffic for your campaign, but for an SEOed site google might favour an exact matched keyword in the root domain over the keyword appearing in a subdomain or in the url. My reasoning is that buying a keyworded domain is 'putting your money where your mouth is', whereas it is very easy to create subdomains and keyworded urls.

I don't see why not. What's the distinction between 'new content for a new campaign' and just 'new content'? I can't see that there is any distinction.

I buy a new computer and a new pair of lucky underpants for every campaign.

Then whenever I work on that campaign I change underpants. For luck.

Of course when I am not wearing the lucky underpants the corresponding computer is wearing them on its head. Don't want all the luck going to waste now, do we?

This makes sense. I figure you can make the main domain pretty general. For instance it could be something like greathealthnow.com or whatever. Anything related to health could be your subdomain: weight loss offers to sleep aid offers, etc.

This works for me too.

domains are 10 bucks a pop...frankly I don't see how you can afford NOT to buy a domain. It's much easier to make the site relevant to the user when it's on a domain relevant to their search.

"Branded" sites (Dell, HP, etc)

Discount sellers (Deals2Buy, etc)

Leading e-tailers (Amazon, etc)

eCommerce (product & affiliate) sites built around a common theme (Unicycle.com)

Sites catering to one demographic (all the make money online guru sites)

Think about your strengths, the USP you can provide, and go from there.

It depends on what kind of niche you want to target and what project you are starting :) If it's a new niche that you are targetting then a new domain is def. needed in my opinion but luckily you can find all kinds of coupons online for $1.99 .com domains lol

Pretty much. Unless I can snatch up an even better domain. I wouldn't worry about the domain thing until you get a few conversions first. I don't buy a domain for each offer I test, but for each offer that shows promise. It's just one of my steps for optimizing.

$10 for a domain is nothing compared to what you should be spending to get data for any PPC campaign you're serious about.

are you guys seriously paying 10 bucks per domain!?!! omfg, go get them for 7 bucks.. its called godaddy coupons....

anyways, adwords WONT let you put whatever display url you want, so it would seem really ugly to use something like aaaaaaa/bbbbbb.com as your display url

Depends on the keywords that you aim. I'd suggest one domain per keyword. Why? Because organic traffic is much better than any other traffic. And in terms of SEO having an exact name domain really give advantage to your site position in SERP.
