NEW Facebook Ads

+1 to artificially increasing bid price floor.

All the "changes" in recent week are meant to jack up the bid prices and manipulate the pricing in the market. As we all know their manipulation won't stay too long, but many advertisers will simply quit and leave :D

But will they? my Ad Board is all SME companies doing branding, and facebook groups promoting their services. I am not sure, obviously - but I think it's only the affiliates that will end up leaving.

If the bids keep rising, then the advertisers will just have to raise their payouts to compensate.

Not quite. If facebook ads was the only source of traffic this might be true but there are thousands of (better) alternatives to drive traffic to offers. It also means only the most creative affiliates get paid.

Haven't used FB ads for a while... just created some new ads for my online store and the suggested bid price is now 0.71 - 0.88cents, what in the holy hell is going on here?

Welcome to the new Facebook Ads, specifically designed to screw you as hard as possible. Don't forget to check out CPM, dirt cheap and they specifically target non-clickers for you too!

There are alternatives for a lot of things...but is dating one of them? How many other traffic sources are there that offer that kind of volume with that kind of targeting for the dating niche?

The advertisers have the wiggle room to offer more money to affiliates. So they either hold ground and lose volume or up their pay.

People have been doing 2-3-4k+ leads/day in dating before fb was such a hit.

WTF is with all the apps traffic? I'm getting 30-40% apps traffic now, and it converts like absolute anus.

mine has been as high as 70%

keep working with the platform, every time they make updates there are new ways to make it work, you just have to adapt.

As for you guys running dating, I'm routinely seeing 1.10-1.30 suggested bids on US demos, and even higher in some intl countries, good luck with that.

Yeah lol - I'm not running away from FB traffic at all, but it's frustrating to say the least.

Also noticing those bids on my dating campaigns, ridiculous!

I don't get what they are doing over there at facebook. No matter what i target now, clicks are no less than $1 CPC. impossible to get low CPA campaigns to work. what are they thinking. Is anyone getting much less than .75 cent CPC?

The bidding isn't the biggest problem tbh. The traffic quality is HORRIBLE now. EPCS have took a huge hit.
