Hey guys I am going to try something new for Facebook PPC. I am going to stop trying to push products because I agree with what you guys said last time. People on FB aren't in the buying mode when they are on their profiles. However there appears to be a consensus that people on FB are cool with a free sign up option.

So what I want to do is push a penny auction website that has free sign up and you get 3 free bids when you sign up. The affiliate program will pay me per sign up (and if they buy bids I'll get money for that as well). I was wondering if you guys could answer a couple questions.

1. Is using a penny auction site a good idea?

2. if it is, what is something I could put in the ad (if anything) to help push people to take action and sign up for the 3 free bids.

Thanks guys

go here. that give you any ideas for ads?

yeah search google/yahoo/msn WITHOUT adblock extensions installed and other search engines for 'penny auctions' and look at the ppc ads that come up on the right for creatives inspiration, that will give you a good idea of what professionals are doing. also read a bob bly book about copywriting and maybe cashvertising if you haven't already and you should be good to go for copywriting as long as you practice and datamine to see what others promoting the niche are doing.

Thanks man yea I bought cashvertising. Great book I'm loving every page of it.

ckfighter, asking really specific questions like this will not garner a desirable response.

Most of us that do this type of marketing flush a decent amount of cash testing niches, products, copy, etc so it is almost insulting to some people when they are asked questions such as these.

Furthermore, the people who would be able to tell you that it is indeed profitable would not want to tell you, especially on a public forum because competition is so fierce in this industry.

The best advice someone can give you has probably already been said, albeit a little harsh:

Just man the fuck up and start testing shit yourself.

its pretty simple bro...
have you seen penny auction sites advertised on FB? yes, if not look harder. It's mostly advertisers direct but have seen affiliates running so has potential.

As for what to put in the ad.... don't be dumb... a high end item your target demo would love to have but can't afford unless they save or its a special buy(tv, game console, laptop) and if there are products on the offer page which there should be..maybe match them up?

Seriously don't understand why you needed to ask? It's so straight forward..
