NEW Facebook Ads

Quick question - If Facebook shuts your account down because they didn't like your ads, does that mean you lose the rest of your facebook too (i.e., pictures, wall posts, all of that) or do you just lose the ability to advertise?

As for the "Restart all ads" feature, yeah it's annoying. I have no clue why they did it, but hitting cancel seems to work. Dayparting...they've been promising me that since ASW 09.

I'm pretty sure you only get banned from the advertising section. All of the social parts of your account should still be fine.

I created a campaign for a local hair salon...and for some reason they disapproved the damn thing. I'll have to go through the ToS and see exactly what the fuck I did wrong.

I contacted facebook to see what the problem was and a rep got back to me fairly quickly, which was pretty cool. However, the problem FB pointed out was stupid.

My image was against the terms of service. The image was a before and after of someone who was 50% bald and after they got a haircut looked 15 years younger.

Sometimes, FB can be gay.

that sucks. I should have been using a different account.

It depends really. I've seen both the ad account disabled and entire accounts disabled. Maybe they just disable your account entirely now, but in the past it seemed to depend on what prick you get that day.

I think you can close the ad account and then start a new separate one as a business account - if you're willing to try to get your ads approved again.

I got banned from one of my ad accounts that was attached to my personal prof and nothing happened to the profile.

gotcha. I guess it varies based on who you get like Dombo said. ah well...let's see if I decide to move it over just to stay on the safe side. Not running anything shady, just don't want to take the chance. But what a pain to think about losing all your shit just because facebook doesn't like your ads.

Ok facebook is really pissing me off today. Basically, I keep getting hit with this reason:

The content of this ad does not adequately reflect the product/service offered. Ads may not be false, misleading, fraudulent or deceptive. Per section 4, ads must not make unsubstantiated claims, including but not limited to prices, discounts or product availability; use of current events in the ad text or image that create false association to be used for irrelevant commercial agenda; use of false qualifications to create a sense of relevancy; as well as the implication of dynamic ad content. Any statement made within an ad must be accurate and relevant to all users.<br />Additionally, ads must disclose what action or set of actions is required to qualify or receive the product/service. Offers requiring the submission of Personally Identifiable Information must disclose on the landing page how such information will be used and distributed. This disclosure must be clearly and prominently displayed.

Now this is garbage because my ad is a lead-gen type offer where I specifically state "Win a $5k/Prize"

Then in the ad body I also state "Sign up to possibly win blah blah blah". How clear can I possibly be? This isn't anything shady, I just want to know why they won't accept the ad, I mean there is a drawing and you can win $5k/ simple as that. Maybe someone with a little more experience can chime in because I am new to facebook, but I have tried about literally 700 different variations of ads and they keep getting disapproved.

Can anyone offer any insight?

They don't answer shit. I've had ~1000 ads disapproved this week and all are completely within the terms. I've emailed them on multiple occasions and haven't even gotten a reply back.

is that a new email? i have tried emailing advertising@facebook.com and no response either. profitaddiction, do you just keep submitting ads? if they keep disapproving ads can they eventually ban your account?

I keep submitting, yeah... I've heard you can get banned for submitting ads that violate their terms continuously, but when an ad is getting disapproved while NOT violating the terms, it's frustrating as hell.

The one time I actually got a response from them, it was regarding a campaign that I eventually deleted and just re-made because I was pissed - In that case, they couldn't do anything about it anyways.

In my opinion, the system has gone to shit in the past month or two

hahahaha that is hilarious you mention that because the one time i got a response from advertising@facebook.com it was about a campaign i deleted too. they were like "we don't see the campaign you're talking about blah blah".

if any facebook approval team members are reading this fuck you with an aids dick.

im have about 15% click discrepancy (they are charging me more than what they should) and it's hurting my ROI. Anyone successfully able to get a refund from them for this issue?

I've been able to get partial refunds in the past, but lately I can't even get a response.
