NEW Facebook Ads

FBAdsmanager is broke for this nigga too. FB just changing their shit... again

After a few hours mine went back to normal, but it was weird for about 5 hours there on one of my accounts I had some weird ass menu option I had never seen, I wish I got a screen shot of it.

Did anyone else notice a menu yesterday that was a select box asking if you were a "basic user" "advanced user" and like 2 other options?

So I have not been advertising on Facebook for a while (end of last year?) and I throw an ad up with a really general target range (age only) and they won't get me even close to my daily spend :( Seems it was a lot easier to get that huge flood of traffic before.

That's like over the course of 3 days. You would think that it would be getting a lot more impressions (Heck my suggested bid even dropped to 0.07 and still not getting the traffic I should be). I guess maybe me being old school and not using any of those fancy plugins or apps that allow you to upload hundreds of ads at a time you new kids are using has me at a disadvantage and there are tons of you people with 1000s of the same ads with slightly different pictures and ad text that have ads running so now I need to keep up and do the same?

If that's just for one ad and that's all you're targeting, then that might be your problem. Try raising the bid a cent every now and then if you care more about impressions.

FYI - I upload about 20-50 ads at a time without software/plugins. It's boring as fuck, so I'll probably look into this FBAdsManager thing. That or figure out programming something for it.

Yeah it is one ad but the target is only like ages 30-40 so that's a lot of inventory. I'm just used to bidding at the Suggested price and that being enough to flood you with traffic quickly but for some reason that has changed. Heck my CTR today is 0.4% and they have still only sent me about 50 clicks and I am bidding the suggested price :)

Yeah I used to do the same but I do remember that if I had a good ad with good ctr and bidding at suggested bids that it would easily do 400+ adspend a day with a general target like this so it seems a bit different. I was just curious if it might have something to do with people nowadays uploading 100s of the same adcopy at a time and using those Facebook ad managing programs more then last year when not as many were doing it and it essentially just flooding the system with a lot more ads to cycle through then it used to. Either that or because I have not advertised for a while they want to see me pay a few bills before they ramp it up, which I guess is also a reasonable reason.

Has anyone ever had their traffic stop after getting a retro disapproval? Today I had 2 ads retro disapproved, and so I made more within their guidelines and they were approved. I've been running them all day w/ a demo of ~600k but i've gotten less than 100k impressions today.

I seem to be getting quite a few messages about how I managed to get my CPC so low on that ad. Look at the CTR. 0.2-0.4 will give you low suggested bids and traffic at those levels but even then you may not get a lot of clicks.

Sounds right. Seems most PPC platforms reward targeting and good CTR with lower CPC.

I got as low as $0.04 CAD CPC on some of my ads with 0.2% CTR. As many said it, perfect targeting and good ad copy and you get yourself high CTR. But the only thing about that is the ads usually burn out faster too, because the targeting is so precise that there just isn't too many people in that audience.

Anyone know why I'm not getting an auto bump for my spend limit? I hit $250 for 10+ days in a row...

The only thing I can think of is that my paypal payments failed a few times but the back up funding source still worked so I don't know why they would hold back from giving me my auto bump for that.

What demo was it?

Pretty random actually. I just had very targetted ads to interests. E.g. if they like monkeys my ad would say "Do you like Monkeys? Click Like and show some support!" and there would be a cute picture of a monkey. They'd click Like, which in turns makes them a fan of my page and that counts as a click.

Are facebook people don't approve ads in US night time ? I thought they at least work 24/7 !!! I wait like 10 hours already and it's first case of such!

So I ask this once again ? Why impressions are so low comparing with start of account ? I bid CPC, bid a bit more than lower range of what FB suggest, ads approved and going. However there are just a few ads, can it be cause of that ? Should I also upload 100's of ads onetime with FBAdsmanager ?:)

What's your daily budget? Facebook will allocate your budget evenly throughout the day.
