Hey, So I am looking to hire a linkbuilding team from somewhere like India, as the work is so mind-numbingly boring. The worries I have is that without a good strategy in place all the links they build will be utter crap. Has anyone ever managed one of these teams before and what kind of direction or strategy did you use, did you tell them where to find the links or just let them go?

Thanks for the help

The more specific your instructions the better the results will be. Even though they speak english be prepared for some mis-communication at first. Use small words and short sentences when you can, especially at the start. I have found that lists and bullet points work much better than paragraphs.

Do not be afraid to cut them loose if they do not work out. Sometimes it takes a few tries to find the right people. You can usually tell within a week or two at most if they will work out. You do have to manage your expectations, if you think you are going to be able to just off load all your seo work the first week and not have to worry about it any more you are just setting yourself and them up for failure.

Start them out with very specific tasks ie: build these links on these sites using this anchor text. Have them send you a report daily so you can check and make corrections. I have found that an excel spreadsheet works great for this. Make corrections send anything back that needs to be redone. Once they have a task down then you can just spot check. Every time you assign a new task you need to follow the same proceedure. Honestly it can be as much work at first but long term it can be worth it.

That was kind of on the lines I was thinking, but I will definitely use the tips especially daily reports.

I just need to find a source for the links that I will assign them to build, then I will start to find a team.

Thanks again

There are some teams that specialize in building form packets for example. You don't need much guidance for those. But at the same time the link places are usually oversaturated.

you shouldn't outsource link building unless you know exactly what you want and have done it before yourself

I think this is my problem, I mean I have some experience but I am no expert. I have been blog commenting, emailing webmasters and submitting to the social sites. But to outsource this I don't know how to tell them look here for links. Thanks though

the point of outsourcing link building, at least for me, is to do the work to find the sources, do the proper research, and then get right to the point of tedious manual labor and just say "here, do this over and over". You should always be using your brain to do work, not mindlessly copying and pasting and being monotonous.

It's just like hiring homies in the United States in that you need to find brokers you can trust and have them build teams for you. I've got over 40 full timers over there blowing shit up daily.
