Just curious if any of you guys have any resources on starting your own cpv network/software.

I've searched around, but it seems to be a hard term to search for and get any relevant results.

I guess my main question is, are there any platform/software scripts already floating around....something open source that I could start with instead of having to start from scratch.

Thanks....and bewbz

If you dont have enough money to have it professionally developed and maintained then its probably not wise to start this in the first place

Hold tight. I am sure some guru fucktard will pop something out shortly.

Get in quick - you're pre-approved to fail.

You probably need 8 figs to get it off the ground. No ones going to seriously use you unless you have a decent 7 fig userbase

BTW, I guess I should have left the 'Network' part out.

I'm not planning on having a public network, this will be for my own personal use. I would be the only one actually advertising through the pops.

No offense, bro. But thats even more retarded.

Dude, creating a ppv network is a lot harder than you think.

Fact - Gamevance spends 6 figures a day in marketing alone.

You need kickass marketing skills for people to have people install your adware and at the same time, to stay out of trouble.

Marketing is the hardest part. Once you have a big enough userbase, you can get advertisers.

Not when I can get dirt cheap clicks to convert :)

Bro, allow me to elaborate. Do you understand why TV, FB, teh gurgle let us advertise, even though, technically they're losing out on profit, since they themselves could be making profit? You see son, they're are so many mother fucking verticals, and nothing that automate the process of making and tweaking campaigns, that it would be impossible to correctly monetize on all those traffic sources. I hope that makes sense.

Also, if you want any decent traffic, your going to need minimum like I'd say 100K userbase. Lets assume you pay $2 a pop to the CPA networks. Thats like 200 grand. You also have to code the actual toolbar, tracking etc. I'm going to guess thats going to run you like 500k for a programmer. Now you'll also need to hire atleast one programmer and designer full time to design/program games to hide your adware in.

What I'm getting at is, this by no doubt is lucrative, what trafficvance is doing, but you better have atleast a 7 figure bankroll, and preferably 8 figure one saved up.

Essentially, you have to be like dullspace from myspace with 8 figures chillin at jp morgan chase.

There is something to be said for focusing on your core business. It allows you to dedicate resources, it allows you to go narrow and deep, not wide and shallow, and makes available efficiencies you would not otherwise have available.

Think about how many different businesses/industries you are talking about getting involved in right now. I see three just off the top of my head...

- Custom software development
- Toolbar marketing (and marketing and marketing and marketing...this is a leaky bucket business)
- Affiliate marketing (via your network)

Now, just how effectively do you think you can do ALL of those things, EVEN if you outsource key components of each?

stfu lol you dont know what you are talking about

So you think its practical to make your own network, and then close it up completely and fully monetize on that traffic?

Thats absolutely fucking retarded. Why doesn't google do that? Because theres to many verticals to tackle it from. Essentially it would be like trying to fully monetize every single keyword on google. You think one person can achieve that? Make more from monetizing every single keyword (url) than selling advertising to other people. An average campaign for me takes a few days to tweak into profitability.

You're a fucking idiot if you think that having a private CPV network would be more profitable than having a public network.

Not if its a closed network and its only popping scareware. I can think of a bunch of other similar examples where being closed would be better.

Not that you can do it, but again, you may, and if you do we will pay you the due RESPECT.
I mean if you can, then why not... Extremely lucrative. Just a Small percent of the Huge Pie called the Interwebz.... If you have something that people wanna download.... and there are loads...

It is good that you are even thinking. It can be a Start. Who knows.. We can all be kissing your ass tomorrow begging to get accepted to your Exclusive Pops .
Some people don't even think..

Look at MarkusPOF... He was just like you few years back, asking if it was a good Idea to start a Dating site....

All the Best.. Not that you will do it though....

Anyway..again.. if you want an Exclusive target where you can serve Pops, owning your own heavy traffic Website is also a good idea..

You can Pop anytime you want..
