Bible In Urine: No Violence - Mohammed Cartoon: Mass Murders - Who's The Extremists?

Actually I heard a muslim girl once say that she used to get really pissed off and angry any time she saw a picture of mohammed (not just a disrespectful picture, ANY picture), but then after the draw mohammed thing and seeing it everywhere she just learned to let it go. I thought to myself, "yeah, that was kind of the point".

I can see burning qurans and whatever even going the distance. Sure, the guys are probably ignorant hicks, but a good percentage of the world needs to come to grips with things like the internet, 24 hour cable, globalization, etc. You're not just living in your little back water goat herding village any more. You'll get over it.

Yeah but i think part of the problem is that some people cannot let it go. Im not saying that is a bad thing... These people dedicate their lives to their religion then something like that happens.... Its a kick in the teeth really when we should really be looking to calm things down as opposed to escalte them.

Exactly, why should anyone in America have to bow down to these people because they are living in the dark ages?

When are the sheeple gonna wake up and see what is slowing going on around here in the U.S.

This to me has nothing to do with religion I could care less, it is about a radical bunch of fools dictating how we need to do things here with threats of violence.

They are protesting the burning of the Quran, while burning the American flag... These are some backwards fucks.

I don't understand how people having the mainstream debate always ignore or never bring up the fact that mohammed was a pedophile who married a six year old girl which he screwed at age 9.

Anyone who worships such a pedo is far more fucked up than most other people who worship deities. not even michael jackson got away with that one, but the news was all over that one.

Oh yeah, but people lived less back then, in 1000 years fucking a 50 year old will be pedophilia.

Is there any evidence that puberty began at age 5 back then? nope, didn't think so.

Guess the logic here was: "Hmm... Why don't I create a thread that will surely stir some shit up, that will make me feel important"

Subject has been over discussed here, can we move no? Nobody gives a shit anymore...

Ground Zero Mosque vs. Qu'ran burning

You should only be for both or against both. Both acts are legally protected but highly insensitive to a group of people that feel strongly enough about the situation to probably resort to violence. If you support one but not the other you are a hypocrite and obviously biased in one direction or the other.

That's because there's nothing to debate. If you agree that burning books is a good idea, you're a fucking retard. End of debate.

oh no, the symbolic burning of books that now with technology and mass printing has lost the original meaning that Fahrenheit 451 presented. who cares.

Guess it depends on what you mean by "for". I believe both should be protected by law, but I'm personally for one (Ground Zero Mosque as a symbol of healing) and against the other (just plain hatred).

That proves my point - you see them differently because you are biased towards one (in this case, ground zero). You say you see it as a symbol of healing, without regard for the millions of people that see it as a symbol of conquest and disrespect towards the victims of the worst terrorist attack in US History. They are either both OK because they are legally protected, or they are both wrong because of the immense sensitivity of its opponents. You can be for one or the other, it just means you're biased.

I guess this would be my first post here. Just stumbled across this great forum and I am sort of disappointed to see so many people hating on my religion. and I live in asia.
Even though I know little about what goes on in the US, i think the ground zero mosque idea should have been given up when it turned out that so many people were against it. being a muslim of course i am all for building as many mosques as possible but in a case like ground zero i believe they shouldve scrapped the idea. and its not like those guys couldn't do without it so why stir up shit unnecessarily? but then two wrongs never make a right so buring Quran in response to that is just as insensitive if not more for muslims. Also muslims and christians need to respect each others feelings and the ground zero mosque is a lot more trouble than its worth on that score. heck, i say donating the money to needy people would of been a far better use for those funds.
and its obvious that the whole lot of people commenting here have little to no knowledge about islamic teachings so there making themsleves look like a prat. ridiculous as it may seem, i get the uneasy feeling that some people think islam permits even encourages killing violence against non muslims. let this be clear in islam only in combat it is that you are permitted to kill non muslim males. and as for non-muslim women and children you cannot kill them under any circumstances or damage places of worship or even chop down trees.
and to the guy called "maxminine", i would like to inform you that back then a girl would be considered marraigeable once she started puberty. and its not like that prophet Muhummad (pbuh) was lustful (God forbid) there were a host of reasons behind that marraige, take a few mins and have a loook at this video if you please, hopefully you will think more rationally thereafter.
(add 'watch?v=TKJOju3TkVU" to youtube.com/ )

anyhow, i wasent trying to teach anyone Islam or start an argument but only intended to try and cool down the emotional and seemingly highly pissed of people on here. because seeing how far some people are willing to go just to insult each other feelins was very troubling for me, to say the least. i know some people will not like me for this post and haters will still continue to hate but even if it stops one guy from relishing the idea of insulting peoples feelings for no reason, i would be glad
comeon pls i thought you americans were smarter than that :(

now back to work.

^kendra stfu.

Now back on topic. This Terry Jones certainly has balls, this kind of thing should be done much more. If only he'd toss the bible in there as well. Mainstream media can go fuck themselves, it's so pathetic watching them all whine about how 'shameful' and 'disgraceful' this is.

That smug reporter needs a slap.

Arghs...

I just know you guys would be foaming if some muslim church would burn Bibles.

I am against book burnings of any kind, be they religious or not.

In the current state of affairs, this is idiocy along the lines of "bring it on".

::emp::

Brass balls eh? His church has received over $500k in donations over the past week. The church has 50 people.

I still say the guy bails and doesn't do it. All the while laughing while people like you send him money... for having "brass balls". If he *does* end up doing it, it won't be to make a statement, it'll be because it was a payday.

Give me $500k and I'll burn a pile of Qurans in the center of Mecca.

I'll take this bet, as long as I have to pay you only if you get out of there alive.

Please don't start this argument again. It has been brought up many times by the Internet kids and it just makes you look fuckin stupid.

People who disagree with you = Internet kids? Solid argument right there. Dumbfuck. Pick up a history book. Christianity and horrible violence go hand in hand.

It's not that black and white IMHO. I think you can support someone's right to do something, without necessarily agreeing with it. Most people get polarized on issues based on their own feelings towards the subject. Mature people realize they don't have the right to shove their own morality / beliefs / whatever down others throats, no matter how strongly they feel about it.

Just proves once again religions are fucking stupid.

Exactly! Thats why religions are false and dumb! Because they make people fight against each other and kill each other. They believe in one god, but gave him different names. But in the end theres only one big power above us. So why fucking killing each other?
Btw. its a big sin to kill each other in pretty much every bigger religion...think about that, sinners... :D
