I've been noticing MS and Google KW Tool's counts are way off.

Yes, I've filtered bother for EXACT and MS is showing way more supposed traffic.

It's a problem, and it's becoming worse every day. MS uses the legacy keyword tool which returns wildly different data than the new beta keyword tool.

I'm looking at a keyword I rank #1 for, and the MS data is at least 5x inflated.

Just starting comparing the results yourself from both of google's keyword tools. What's the actual search volume? Who knows.

Be pessimistic and filter manually against the newer google beta interface which generally is reporting less volume. Up to 10x less volume in many words I'm looking at.

Yea I just started doing SEO in May, started with an exact match .com that the old kw tool said got 2900 exact per month. So that should be about 100 searches per day. Well I was on the first page for a while bouncing around between 3 and 7 and wasn't seeing anything on this kw at all, then about a month ago I hit number 1 and still really nothing. I'm getting maybe 2 to 5 visits/day for this kw. So, the other day I decide to go check out the new kw tool and it says something like 320 searches which is about 10/day and is exactly what I am seeing at the #1 spot. I'm doing a bunch of kw research now and am strictly using the new kw tool, and even then I am going to run a test adwords campaign when I find a kw I would like to attack.

I just scored 2 exact match .com domain names that get over 1000 searches per day, and the competition is crap. I'm gonna be rich biach.

Sorry, I had to find some place to gloat and this was the best place I could find.

What tool did you use? I use thenichebitch2.0 I can find these all day long, I snap them up and put them on my mom's credit card she know we gonna be rich.
