I've seen a lot of people saying it's shit, but It's been converting pretty well for me for the arbi sites. They might have even convinced me to keep going even after the coupon code runs out.

I just signed up for microsoft adcenter the other day but i havnt gotten the ball rolling yet, so i'll see how that goes.

Anybody else have had a positive experience with looksmart?
 


Their traffic has been converting decently for me. However, the amount of traffic is extremely low and the $0.10 minimum bid makes it hard to control your ROI.

My opinion: The coupon is certainly worth using, but I wouldn't even think about actually paying for it.
 
The traffic is good quality. I've gotten about 200 clicks from them so far and like 95% of them are from American users, 3% Canada and 2% Uk.
The CTR depends a lot on the niche, I've gotten 100% for a site that had like 11 hits and I've gotten 5% on other sites. But since you need to bid so high to actually get any traffic I certainly won't keep on using them after my coupon runs out
 
well the revenue i make is twice as much as i "spend" so i think its worth it. its probably likely that i just hit upon a niche that works well with them.
 
boooo, i only tried it for a couple days and got like 60 visitors to an arbi that gets like an 80% ctr at 7 search and it didnt get any clicks, booooo. I might have to try again with other niches since i still have money from the cupon.
 
I just started yesterday with it after reading a great review online. It's nice that you can start small...thats it though...not one click yet
 
its really hit or miss for me, some days i do ok with it others are not so good. Plus they automaticall charge you 3 times your daily spend for each new campaign which sucks
 
i just started using looksmart for arb and the hits click through well - i think I am only going to use them for my highest earning sites though, and well targeted kw's, b/c of the 10 cent min bid.

You can't, that's the worst thing about it. Whenever your balance gets close to 2x or 3x your daily budget (whichever triggers the refill) you just have to turn off all campaigns in order to not have it refilled.

I don't know if this works wieth looksmart, but this is what I did with overture:

setup 2 credit cards as your methods of payment, 1 card is good and 1 card is maxed out, expired etcc.... Then setup the bad credit card as your main refill method, so that the automatic refills don't happen and you can add funds with your good card when you want.
 
Looksmart converts very well for me. About the same as Adwords/YSM/MSN. Volume is about 10% of the big boys though.
 
I can't really seem to get microsoft adcenter goin though. it may alos be that my click tracking sucks. i have traffic coming in from 3 places and dont keep track of any of that.
