250k uniques, 6 million impressions a day, zero revenue

You should be able to get about $2.00 per 1000 unique ($0.65-$0.75 per 1000 for repeat visitors) US, UK, CA and $0.50 per 1000 unique ($0.20 for repeats) for all other if you enable inpage popups. Been using them for months on a couple sites that were hard to monetize. Always paid on time.
 
Have you considered Prosperent? It's better than Adsense. I'm assuming based on the traffic numbers that the majority of your traffic is from SEs, and not direct traffic. So, Prosperent would be pretty good for you, since the ads get more targeted based on SE keywords.

Now, the equivalent of Adsense, that even runs adult offers, is Adbrite. They are considered the sluts of content-based advertising. I haven't used them though, so I don't know how they pay out consistently.
 
did you even read through the results of that search? there was only one site that said kitara is a scam and it was in a thread at DIGITAL POINT

I edited in the numbers (check my above post again) I am getting for a site that gets a good amount of impressions a day and is earning. I would seriously recommend you sign up to Adversal (with my link please :) ) and try it, it worked wonders for me.

My apologies. I was a bit paranoid from the post of the other guy. I'm going to sign up.
 
Go install OpenX or get an adserver, get some creatives and campaigns and rotate everything till you get the campaign with the best return on your traffic. I'm sure you can monetise it better than anyone else can.

Put in your adnetworks in at whatever CPM they pay, so if your inventory won't cover it, it should display the adnetworks.

Throw an advertise button at the bottom incase anyone wants to do a direct buy with you, then just put their buy in and it should start to serve theirs if yours has a lower yield.
 
or how about you see what type of ads are going to be shown on the site from the networks... if they are cpa offers... rotate some of your own banners in
 
Kitara isn't a scam. If you type "[insert any company here] scam" and search into google, you are a moron. The most legit of companies will always have those few disgruntled idiots who think they are a scam.
 
Kitara isn't a scam. Lots of networks work with them and I'm sure a network owner on this forum will vouch you for them.

As for other options for your site, I'm not sure if network aggregators like Rubicon Project or PubMatic would be OK with your site, but you should at least try. What they do is let you rotate bunch of networks and see for yourself which networks make you most.
 
goddamn 250k uniques... I used to make $150 a day from adsense on a myspace layouts site receiving 10k uniques.
